The renewal of marriage vows for a couple celebrating their 50th Anniversary. The anniversary of my Grandma passing. The B-Day of a dear friend in heaven. And as soon as Mass ended, two baptisms! The community and clergy are very welcoming to newcomers. The church although small has the grandeur of a much larger church. Marble and gold guilded.

This is a really lovely church…read more When I was a child, I sometimes attended mass here with my grandparents and cousins. It's a friendly church. I came here recently for my cousin's wedding and the rehearsal. It was an gorgeous service. There's a huge organ in the back of the church that's amazing. There's pretty stained glass windows too. I haven't been to a traditional service here in many years, but it's a very nice neighborhood church that has a lot of charm, and it's quite big and pretty too.

Reminded me of the service in France at Sacré-Coeur where the children in uniform filled the pews. The nave of the church is ample and majestic. Huge church. The spire and blue green roof led me to the church. I'm glad I found her. The beauty of the stained glass windows all along the church, the roseta above the organ at the front and two big panels at each side of the altar create a visual light sensory experience that enhances the spiritual journey of the service. On this ocasión the organ was not played, but the piano, and a duo of voices led us in song. Very nice. Another jewel of a church. I will come back.

They have parking for over 80 cars in two different sections.They have all kinds of activities for the neighborhood. I recently started coming here but I absolutely love it! The church staff are all super nice & attentive, not to mention is a huge church! Fits over 300 people! I will definitely continue coming here. This is a Beautiful 1960's RC church in Historic Howard Beach in Queens NY…read more It has a wonderful Congregation that is predominantly Italian like the Neighborhood. Morning mass is daily at 9am. The ladies that work in the church have been there for many years and keep it looking Emaculate! The bathrooms are clean. They have rosary night every Wednesday. Their school across the street is St. Helens and is run Very Efficiently by the principal Dr. Christine Zirillo. This is an Excellent church with a solid positive Reputation.

Both are spiritual, sincere, caring, (and humorous). They do an amazing job, in today's difficult church climate. Gentleman like this, of such strong faith and character, keep me closer to God, and give me hope that this crazy world actually has a chance, and that good shall overcome evil.
