Sad and disappointing. Management was rude and the rooms were not impressive after a very long journey

Tejero Highland and Adventure Park offers great outdoor activities and swimming facilities…read moreguaranteed to delight people of all ages. How to Get There: Ride a jeepney to Valencia (php12/person) from Dumaguete public market with a dropoff point in Valencia public plaza. From there, ride a trike going to the address. It's about 15-20 minutes and is located right along the road so you can't miss it. Fare is php40.00 - one way. Related Fees: Entrance : php60.00 per person - includes access to the pool area Cottage: php200.00 There are two types of pool area in the venue. The first one is where the pool is filled with water from the river and the other one is filled with chemical treated water. If you choose the latter, you will have access to two swimming pools, the first one just after you enter the premise and the other one just after it, separated by a pathway going down. The second pool area has slides if you're into that. Food is available in the venue's very own restaurant and they are cheap. You can choose to eat it inside the resto or bring it with you to your cottage. Price ranges between php120-250. Try their pizza, either the cheesy or the meaty variety. It's super affordable at just php200 (cheesy) and php250 (meaty). Soda, water, shakes, juices, etc can also be bought frommthe resto and they're also very affordable. For thrill seeking adventurers, you can opt to try out their ATV or Zipline. ATV rental is at php200-250 while zipline is at 150. It's just one way though so think about that. Don't forget to go down the hanging bridge just after the second pool area. You will have a majestic view of the water flowing from the mountain cascading from one huge boulder to the other. I was a bit hesitant to go to Tejero at first but I'm glad I did. It was all worth it. Try to reserve one day when you're in Dumaguete and visit this paradise. You'll be glad you did.

Overall we had a great experience at this resort, we checked in and they brought our bags to the room that were nicely AC'd, had a mini fridge, purified water, tea, and instant coffee along with a kettle. There's 3 pools and private beach access, not much more you can ask for! The main restaurant is allegro, which is a buffet, but you can order items a la carte. If you choose when booking, you can have it so breakfast is included with your room, which we did and I highly recommend doing. The breakfast buffet is great! Many Filipino, American, and other Asian food options. I didn't go for lunch and went once for dinner, it's about $23 and it was the Cebu food fest night, I think I would've preferred going on a normal night and I don't think it was really worth the price. We didn't checkout their seafood restaurant, which is over the water so can't speak for that. We loved the staff, they were so nice and attentive and we took a picture with our main bartender on our last night! The resort did their best to make sure we had the best trip possible and I would recommend this resort if you're looking for a place to stay in mactan-Cebu.

Just the facts: entrance = 350 pesos + 50 for the corkage fee per head total = 400 and more or less we were 75 heads they gave 15% discount for a group discount of more than 30 people, it is still to high on my opinion. Slides and children's water park - they start at 10:30am and only do 1 slide at a time 30 minute each . There reason is the equipment will only do one. (Why open a park when you can only run one). In my opinion it's a rip off. What if you are all adults and want the big slide. Fyi they stop running at 4:30pm. Food has corkage fee , lechon has corkage fee and you cannot bring water or any drinks or you will also be charge a fee. The soft drink as of this review is 77 pesos. The tuba was also expensive. The restroom was decent however there was no soap to wash your hands . The employees also uses the restrooms , so I wonder if they even wash hands with soap. No toilet papers and no trash bins inside the rest rooms. The positive side is the place outside looks well maintained a lot of opportunity to take pictures. The staff is good at getting your needs like plates , utensils and drinks ( service water). Just a suggestion there should be two people watching the slide to monitor down below and up on the deck.

The view was absolutely DIVINE! (see what I did there? ;) We were greeted by a modest picture of an open concept structure. However as you draw near, you know that the simplicity was a perfect complement to the peaceful nature it rests upon. The nice breeze and sound of the sea welcomes your approach. What greets you in the lobby is the breathtaking view of the infinity pool leading towards the sea. My son loved it so much he quickly asked if he can jump in, and that he did. He stayed there the entire day I might add. Conveniently the rooms (all 9 of them) were just a few steps from the pool so it was not so hard to keep an eye out for him. The rooms are no suite but are adequately sized for a family of 3. They were clean with everything we needed. Surprisingly the beds and the linen sheets were hotel grade and yes I can tell they are because when you're pregnant you tend to be very picky and observant for such comforts. They even have a common kitchen but hardly used it. There is a restaurant nearby though so food wasn't an issue. Service was superb, staff - friendly, made us feel right at home. Apparently this location is close to adventures and tourist attractions. Kawasan Falls, Canyoneering and Sardine Run were just a few minutes away as we were told. Our intent was to go Whale Shark Watching in a neighbouring town, Oslob. Their staff was very accommodating to help us with arrangements. Oh and their English is superb so no worries in communication. The cherry on top to this beautiful place was the stunning sunsets as the days end. I wish I have words to describe the feeling when you see it but you will just have to be there to see and experience it for yourself. Memories were indeed made.

Not only is it beautifully designed (not…read moreostentatious), but our room had a firm but comfortable king bed, spacious open closet with shelving (instead of drawers), mini refrigerator, hot pot and beverage paraphernalia. The bath's shower had a handheld spray head in addition to the overhead rainshower. I never expected there to be a 2-sided round mirror on adjustable arm, so I was pleasantly surprised. Blow dryer is provided (I had brought my own travel dryer and didn't need to use it for once), as well as steam iron & ironing board. The room has plenty of outlets to charge all devices, and a good sized TV. The pool area is lovely, and the water is very warm with only a touch of chlorine. I think the depth is only 3 feet at both ends, so don't expect to really swim, unless you're a kiddo. Shower room has two stalls with body wash and shampoo provided. But for me personally, the best feature of Summit Hotel Tacloban is the restaurant for breakfast buffet, and dinner, and the lobby lounge's potato lunch bar. What a spread! It beats the luxury hotel's breakfast buffet we have enjoyed in Quezon City, and costs less, too! It pleases me to see how well trained and refined the wait staff is. So you can imagine how it bothered me to see this morning a big family of Balikbayans come to the buffet in their pj's! Their behavior in the Summit is more acceptable for a 2-star establishment in the US that provides free breakfast. I hope the Summit maintains well their building and service. Lord willing, we will plan to stay there again the next time we are privileged to visit Leyte.

We paid to have breakfast included and it was a nice buffet style with local options as well as typical "American" breakfast items. We also ate in the main restaurant (desserts were amazing), had room service a couple times, and had several drinks and meals at the pool area. The service staff is very friendly and professional. The beach area is clean, however the water is very shallow and the tide goes out quite far leaving not the best view until it returns. Sunrise is amazing right over the water. We did the parasailing which was 3000/pax and was a one-way 15 minute ride down the beach. My daughter got a henna tattoo from S and J Henna Tattoo (on site) and was very happy with the job they did. The only downside I could mention is that we were there in mid-December and many local businesses were doing holiday parties during this time at the resort. We were provided notice each evening prior, however the events were onsite and quite loud - one day hosting two simultaneous events both using loud microphones. Not as relaxing as we had hoped. But they lasted only a few hours then the resort went back to normal. We were able to catch "Grabs" right out front to take us to shops/spas/restaurants when we wanted to get off site and of course those were very affordable - $2 US each way. Overall a great place to stay. I would highly recommend.
