Everything is so cosy and ammenities and breakfast lovely. Fresh pressed juices, homemade bread and cake and cookies. Sadly my daughter had 3 nights with throwing up and Juan and the kitchen helped with care and boiling rice, making tea and toast and last day we got a free room to stay before our departure. From their taste of traditional decor, idealic location and a friendly well informed staff; they covered all bases. John and his mutilingual team catered to our needs with kindness, a beguilded calm and genuine guest orientation. Delight in their complimentary teas, organic fruits and wide array of traditional port wines from their 'honesty -bar'. The assortment of offerings during breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. The only drawback to our otherwise wonderful stay was the sound of footsteps of guests in the rooms above us given the pristine wooden flooring. Hats off to Casa Amora. The property itself is the best part, though. The rooms are simple - no TV, just a bedroom and en suite, with a little balcony. The hotel boasts a rooftop lounge area with chairs and a few little tables; great place to catch some sun without getting sandy! They serve continental breakfast in the mornings with meats, cheeses, a variety of breads, fresh fruit, and yogurt on request. They also serve coffee and cake every afternoon. When we arrived we found a bottle of red wine in our room, which was a nice touch. The owner is lovely and will make you feel right at home. This place has such a peaceful vibe! And all this comes at a really affordable price.
