From Yelp, I requested the cost for the tinting and how soon I could have it taken care. Within less than 5 minutes, Dustin responded. After giving my cars details, I again had a response within minutes of the cost and willingness to get me in first thing on a Saturday morning. Although it was a 35-minute drive to their shop, Apex had the window tinted within less than 30 minutes and I was back on the road. I forgot to ask for a receipt, so I emailed Dustin with that request. Again, within minutes I had a text receipt for my records. The cost is very fair and the drive from Nashville/Franklin was worth it.

Dropped off my car at 1:00pm, I received a call at 2:45pm that it was ready for pick up..... The only rubber or plastic that was conditioned on the outside were the tires. All 5 door jams were kind of touched, no door gaskets cleaned let alone conditioned. Before agreeing to the leather conditioning. They told me that it would remove light soiling, well it did not. The "simple interior" detailing, they missed the front console all together. With so much missed/not done at all. It leaves me wondering just what all they did on the outside as far as the vehicle body paint (clay barring, waxing and the ceramic spray). I'm an old-timer who in his 60 plus years has had his fair share of vehicles. All of which I had taken care of myself using hand applied carnauba paste wax, with hand buffing. And on a vehicle this size it was an all-day affair. So that really adds to the wondering of what kind of products were or weren't used by two individuals working on the vehicle together could accomplish in less than 3 hours. I returned the following day and spoke with the man in charge. The next day I returned and spoke with the man in charge pointing out all these areas. He informed me as far as any of the rubber/plastic on the outside. They don't do any type of conditioning other than the tires, because when it rains it causes those conditioning products to run down on the paint causing streaks. I've been conditioning these things with no problems for many, many years. As for the rest of the problem areas there wasn't much he could say. However he did want to tell me he never looked at the vehicle before it was serviced. I had to remind him twice that two days before, he looked at it and sold me on the package. He agreed to redo the leather conditioning and all 5 door jams, the following day..... I arrived at 11:00 a.m. today and within less than an hour they had taken care of all the areas that I pointed out (except for the exterior rubber / plastic). All these areas have been taken care of to my satisfaction today..... I will note this though yesterday when I returned home I canitioned the rubber/plastic areas on the driver side of the car. I used Mothers' Back to Black on all these areas. It rained last night and there was no streaking on the paint. Except for where I had picked up the wrong rag that had product on it. But it was the wrong product, it was Magic Blacks "Wet Tire". I removed as much as I possibly could. But in the rain last night, yes it did streak down onto the door paint. But all the other rubber/plastic that I conditioned with Mothers'. There was no streaking on the paint or anywhere else..... So to sum up this review, they took care of all the interior and door jamb areas that I had problems with. I should not have had to return, I should not have had any disagreements with the service they performed or have to return 3 days later to get it done properly. They should have finished these areas the day before when I pointed it out. I never received an apology from the man in charge for the shoddy work that had been performed. But I did receive an apology from one of the men who took care of these areas today. My son-in-law had his Ford F-250 washed and detailed the interior here back in June of 2023 And it looked awesome. No clay barring no waxing no ceramic spray and it looked fabulous. This is the only reason that I came here to begin with. But in doing my due diligence "after the fact" I have been told new ownership took over sometime after my son-in-law's truck was detailed.

Brandy explained to me how busy they are and how they must make appointments. She was very nice about it and I did appreciate her explanation which helped me to understand the wait. Upon arrival for may appointment I was greeted by Rachel. First, Rachel had me pick out which film I wanted to use for the tint. Of course, the tint was totally legal to what the Tennessee State Law requires. Rachel told me I could have a seat to wait and explained how long it was going to take. The chairs are comfortable. Rachel engaged me in conversation when she could as everyone stays busy. Rachel introduced me to Brandy and then they both went back to work. A couple of minutes later, Andy came in and asked for my fob and immediately pulled the car in and went to work. Once I had the car done, I realized that it was well worth the wait. It was perfect. The factory could not have done better. About 8 months later my car was broken into and the would-be thieves broke the passenger front door window and smashed out the back-passenger door window. Because of the pandemic, they were able to get me in immediately to do the tint on the new windows. I had the same pleasant experience with Brandy, Rachel, and Andy. Once again, they did a superb job on the tint. Fast-forward a month and a half and some more would-be thieves broke into my car smashing the front driver's side window and then the driver's side back door window. After getting the windows replaced, I called Solar Insulation and they put me down to have my windows tinted as soon as they had an opening. A couple of days later they had a cancellation and get me right in to have the tint done. I had the same experience the third time with Rachel, Brandy, and Andy. There is a reason that word on the street and in many reviews, Solar Insulation is known as the best. Their customer service and attention to excellence in their craft is beyond reproach. I will always recommend anyone to go to Solar Insulation for their tinting needs.
