This local speakeasy was a fantastic find. The ambiance and décor are warm and intentional. The layout makes excellent use of the smaller space without feeling crowded. The service was great; kind, attentive staff who made us feel genuinely welcomed. We ordered the Brie appetizer, which was the perfect mix of savory and sweet, and the espresso martinis were outstanding: smooth, balanced, and elevated by their in-house coffee whiskey. Terrible drinks. Terrible food. They don't actually have a kitchen, they just reheat prepackaged food in a microwave and charge an exuberant amount for it. I ordered two different drinks.They were both watered down. This place will not stay open long. The ambiance and location are the only things it has going for it. read more

Their tapas are purely gourmet! Small taste of exotic combinations of flavors and textures to entice your palate with a perfect drink to accompany it. Friendly and prompt service. Cozy indoor seating but I truly enjoyed their patio in the summer. A true hidden gem. This distillery is a must-visit for any craft liquor enthusiasts! Everything I tasted was incredible. I tried and LOVED varieties of alcohol that I normally don't like. I'm not a fan of vodka or gin, but both were so delicious that I enjoyed sipping them straight. They also had a Cranberry Brandy that was delightful. We visited this place last night almost immediately after arriving in town for a "weekend getaway". If I was better with names, I would call out specific people in my review. This place was absolutely amazing! We started with the flight, which was very reasonably priced. None of these spirits aren't made in the traditional way, but when sampling them, you really couldn't tell!! Because of the word "solar" in the name, I of course had to ask our server if solar power was indeed used. He mentioned that all of the spirits distilled were with the intent of making them as sustainable as possible, which I'm guessing is why they didn't always use traditional ingrdients. While we were there, two of the guys working in the back, I think one was probably one of the owners, came out to test a new drink. We talked with them a bit as well. Also very fun and friendly. My only complaint is that during the whole 2 hours we were here, ABSOLUTELY NO other customers walked in. We were told that Saturday is usually the busy day, but I still expected at least one or two other patrons. I understand the tasting room is relatively new, but I hope more people start visiting, especially throughout the week. Next time we are in town, we will definitely be back! read more

During these hard times I thought it would be great to support local. We purchased a hand sanitizer "kit". I thought this would be good to have around the house and something the kids could make as an experiament. Well... we went to the disterlly and for sanitation and health we weren't allowed in which is perfect. They brought out our purchase to our vehicle and all they had was a liquid no kit. When asked about it the worker was rude and said they don't have anything. First and last time for me. Regret going to this place and won't be back. read more

Not many places will open up for a private tasting on the Fourth of July. But Solar Spirits welcomed us with open arms. I was so impressed with their tastings. We were able to taste their vodka, but I am looking forward to tasting their gin and brandy. In August while visiting my sister, we had a delightful time at this distillery one eve. Very cool place. The man behind the counter (on the 10th) was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the samples (vodka, gin, and brandy) and bought a few mini bottles to take with us. My sister was already planning a trip back and plans to buy some of the coffee vodka when she returns. My husband and I had a wonderful Saturday afternoon at Solar Spirits Distillery. We were able to taste vodka (that is the only spirit available at this time) and were very impressed. I won't describe it in detail, because you should just go taste it yourself...but it's good. They also gave us a tour and showed us the process for the vodka we tasted and for the gin that is on it's way. Gin is my drink of choice and when they have vodka that tastes as good as it does, I cannot wait to see how their gin turns out! Looking forward to future tastings already! read more

I attended a tasting of Solar Spirits products at a party and enjoyed them all. My favorites were the vodka based on a cranberry wine and the coffee flavored vodka. I concluded with a cosmopolitan using the vodka and can only say yum. read more

Fun and interesting tour. My friend from California came to visit and I wanted to show her something different in the Tri Cities. We called Solar for an appointment. Kris met us and gave us a great tour, explained the process, gave us interesting information about the solar hot water system, and answered our numerous questions.
