I felt kind of ripped off here. I wanted them to tint my front windshield and my driver side and passenger side window to 10%, I waited about an hour and they said my car was ready, I looked at it and it seems they had only tinted my passenger & driver side window to match my back windows which are 15% tint and left my front windshield completely normal although I wanted it to be tinted. They charge me 455$ dollars to tint TWO windows. WHAT A SCAM!!!!! read more

We had our house sunroom windows done in June 2011. Rusty' s install was flawless, but the tinting has deteriorated with streaks. The warranty is for lifetime residential. I have been trying to get Solar Shield to return my calls for 3 weeks so they can come and see about replacement. It's beginning to look like the warranty isn't any good with this company. Asked about a quote for my car on July 3rd and no respond. Will gladly give my money to others who have responded.

I took my truck to Breeden Dodge in Fort Smith, AR. to have some warranty work done and upon them having to replace two of my windows because their body guys left large gouges in them, they took my truck to these guys to have the windows re-tinted. Not only did they do a horrible job by leaving noticeable debris under the tint, but they also failed to put the same shade of tint that I originally had on it. Also, I don't know if it was them or Breeden as neither of them would accept responsibility and both blamed the other, but one of them allowed a dog to get into my truck leaving dusty paw prints all over my back seat and three a inch fray on the front of the bottom cushion, most likely caused by the dog's nail from climbing up there. Obviously, neither Solar Shield nor Breeden Dodge will be getting any more business from me, my family, or my friends. I would give them both 0 stars if I could, but sadly I cannot. read more

Solar Shield had the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My father had five vehicles done here and recommend them to me as being the best. I drove seven hours from Tennessee to get the windows tinted in an older SUV we had. I decided to wait while the job was completed. It took about 2-3 hours until I was told to car was ready. Most of the employees were very professional and I was very satisfied until I got into the car. They put a significant gouge in the window trim on the front passenger side, enough that I saw it immediately while still in the parking lot. I was waiting on the car but had not told them I was in a hurry and had not even asked once about the status. They let that significant damage go without fixing it before releasing the car, or without telling me about it and offering to fix it later. It would have been impossible for them not to have known about it, but I had to go back and ask about it. They offered to fix it then but I had another appointment, so I came back the next morning. After trying to fix it they asked if it was good enough, it was not. After getting upset at them trying to pass it off, I said one swear word. After that they told me to get out of the shop, that they would cancel the warranty, and that they would not fix the damage they caused. All the while swearing a lot more than I did. I was very upset at the initial lack of workmanship but I know accidents happen. What really upsets me is that they did not fix it before giving me back the car, or at least telling me about it and offering to fix it later. Then, doing a halfhearted "repair", then pretending to be offended at my one swear word then saying what I said and worse. Finally, I sent the owner a message about it and never heard anything back. Thankfully it was an extra car, I would hate it if I would have taken our other cars there. I guess doing something right the first time, or caring about the business my family has done with them is not important. At this point there is nothing they could do to make up for the wasted time, I can only hope this warns other people. My recommendation is do not risk taking a nice car there, because if they don't do it right they might not tell you about it, and a "warranty" is only as good as the company behind it. read more

beware!!! I only gave them a one star because I had to. My brother went to Solar Shield expecting a nice tint job on his car. After a couple of times of them trying to make it look nice he was finally fed up with them and said just take off the tint and give me my money back! So after making him wait a couple of hours they take it off and the OWNER REFUSES TO GIVE HIM HIS MONEY BACK! My brother is a disabled veteran living on barely anything a month and wanted to have something nice fone for himself. So now he has no window tinting AND they stole his money!!!! read more

Solar Shield is amazing. The listing shows home window tinting on this site, but I went in to get my two front windows done on my SUV. While calling around to do pricing, the gentleman who answered was extremely nice, engaging and upbeat. Customer service goes a long way with me. He informed me of the specials they are having and I scheduled an appointment for the following week but was hoping to get in earlier. They had a cancellation the day after I called and I was able to have the job done sooner. When I arrived, I was greeted with a smile and everything was explained including the lifetime warranty. The waiting area was really nice with a big screen tv, complimentary drinks and snacks as well as a snack machine. I opted to wait and they were done within about 45 minutes. I am extremely pleased with the window tint and glad they provided reminder not to roll my windows down lol. I was once again given complete details about how to clean my windows and they also recommended the best window cleaner to use. Everyone in the office area was friendly and I would definitely recommend them. read more
