We were able to really maximize a small space and I went from a rather large kitchen in my previous house to a smaller one but I actually love my smaller kitchen better now because a) I have a gas stove which is easier to cook on, b) I have granite and a beautiful backsplash that is very upscale looking and c) I have a HUGE amount of counter space for such a small kitchen and I can do baking projects and other things on it very easily. Also with the drawers and lazy susan corner cabinets I find that most of my stuff fits fine and even though I had to get rid of some stuff, it fits everything I need. Overall I am very very satisfied with how hard Kathy worked on my floorplan and for a reasonable price. She dealt with some issues with the contractors like a complete pro. Any time you're remodeling there are always going to be issues that crop up, but the importance is how they get solved and I am so happy I had Kathy on my side, and I plan to use her again in the future.

My husband and I moved to Cary from south Florida last year. It's much bigger than our rental house - and much nicer. We recognize our limitations, so I searched for someone who could help us with our new home - and luckily enough found Amy. She first went to our rental house (where we were still living) to see what we already had, get an idea of our colors, artwork, etc., then went to our new (empty) home. We were, frankly, amazed at some of her suggestions - amazed just because they *never* would have occurred to us. As soon as she saw our (very large) master BR suite, she noted that there was ample space to fit our existing living room furniture. She also suggested that we have the mantle in the living room (which was crazy high) lowered. ??!! We did not know such a thing was even possible. Amy had great recommendations for - and accompanied us on - furniture shopping trips (can't say enough about Cooper's - must get to their review next).
