Visited this studio for an Introductory Bollywood dance class…read more The studio is a large bright and airy room. There is no ante chamber or foyer before you step into the dance area. Though, there is a receptionist desk close to the entry door that provides a psychological separation between the entryway and the dancefloor. The receptionist was the owner of the studio (I think) and was very welcoming, friendly and informative. Around the back walls, there are chairs and storage cubbies for you to place any personal items. The front walls are lined with mirrors so that dancers can see themselves and position their bodies appropriately. Clean restrooms are on the side furthest away from the entry door. Complimentary bottled water was given to us, the students. I'm not sure if this was offered by the studio or our particular instructor, but the water was a Godsend midway through the dance class. The studio is easy to access off Hurstbourne Pkwy and is just north of Lowe's. I enjoyed my class here and would enjoyed taking other classes in this space.

I have been primary working on the different aspects of swing, and let me tell you... I never thought I would learn, or be able, to dance like this. It is SO much fun! This is a great hobby for couples to learn together and spend quality time with one another. Also, Andy sets up different nights through-out the month at different establishments where you can go and dance in different environments. This is key to learning how to dance as real world practice is essential. But, sometimes you don't know where to go, may be embarrassed to dance in places you aren't familiar with. At these events, most of dance studio is present and so you always have familiar faces. The studio is spacious with all kinds of fun memories on the walls from dance competitions and trophies, etc. There are many tables for in studio events and studio rentals. I have been attending lessons for well over a year at this point, and I have a pretty decent list of moves I have learned, but there is infinite amounts to learn from here!

Very willing to help make the event special and help you make your event the way you want it. Everyone was very friendly. The facility has multiple different areas to utilize for tour event. And stairwells on multiple sides of building, which can be useful. In this case, my sister was able to go from the basement (where the dressing rooms are) all the way up two floors to the top floor (where the ceremony was) without anyone on the first or second floor seeing her. Very useful! I'm told the stairwells connect everything throughout the building, so you can move around the whole facility without anyone seeing you, if need be- useful in this case for sure. The DJ was great. The planning team was great. We loved the dance floor area and the bar was very nice and sleek. There is ample parking around the building. In regards to planning and paying for a wedding, we have torn feelings toward the Ice House. While…read morethe coordinators are extremely helpful and insightful, and the planning process was smooth with great communication, the actual event had hiccups in regard to customer service toward our guests. We paid for a full, open bar with quality spirits and wine. A bartender stood out to our guests for being rude. After the wedding, we had several guests share with us about the bartender and her inhospitable attitude (which is very aggravating considering we paid thousands of dollars for our guests to happily enjoy the bar). In addition, there was an issue during the closing of the wedding that rubbed us the wrong way. A security guard made a guest very uncomfortable as she was scrambling trying to find a lost shoe on her way out. He made a comment implying that he would put her in cop car if she didn't leave right away. As well, another issue with the bar, the bar manager accused a guest of stealing after a bartender (appearing to be her own daughter) accepted cash for him for a drink which she seemingly pocketed. The poor customer service definitely left us questioning the integrity of the event, if a bartender would easily pocket cash what else could have been pocketed? We paid at least $50,000 for our event. For this price tag, one would expect impeccable service toward from beginning to end. If we could have copied and pasted the kindness and professionalism of the coordinators to the rest of staff, the night would have been perfect. However, the rude bartender, security, and even seemingly bar manager was the overall issue we had with our wedding reception.

The open space has a stage and room for about 12-15, 8-seat tables. Actually more tables could probably be placed in the space, but that was the number that was used for the event that I attended. Food was served by a very nice and accommodating staff. The food (baked chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes and a cool salad. For dessert, we had two types of delectable, tasty treats: succulent chocolate cake and bourbon bread pudding. I was really surprised by the flavor of the food. Normally, the food at these types of venues is not flavorful, or tasty and even the texture of the food is not good. Imagine my surprise at delightful, savory nature of the food. I wanted to gorge myself, but decided against it. Anyway, this atmosphere is a nice space for small-to-medium-sized party. There is plenty of parking around the venue in their private parking lot and on the surrounding street. I really enjoyed my visit.
