The place is beautiful and clean. I was able to get my procedure done and I was happy with my results. While I was there I did inquiry about the weight loss program. That was a success I was able to hit my targeted weight goal. Like with anything I will need to go back if I don't maintain it myself. One of the best tanning business experiences I've had! This Baja Heat location in Lakeland is so…read morenice. From the start Anastacia (or Ana as she liked to be called, hopefully spelled it right) was super helpful, cool, and down to earth. They recommend coming in for a consultation your first time to discuss your tanning goals, your skin type and so forth. They have 4-5 different types of tanning beds which seems way fancier then I remember most tanning places having, but maybe it's the new way. So with each bed basically it gets a little more technical and stronger bulbs for a deeper, quicker tan. The memberships for each bed are then based off of the level of the bed. I started out with the lowest level membership and it has been perfect, about $30 a month. They do have a policy where you have to buy your tanning lotion in store, as I guess they've had issues with clients reacting to lotions other clients have brought in. That doesn't entirely make sense to me as they clean the beds between each use so it seems like that cross contamination shouldn't happen if they clean like they say, but that's what they said. I didn't mind buying lotion here as Ana helped me decide and pick one that should be better protection for my tattoos in specific. They also have a policy where you have to wait minimum 24 hours in between sessions, and if you're trying to go in less time you may need to put your skin first and be smarter. The Lakeland location is never crazy busy, but you can still call and make an appointment ahead of time just in case. If you get a membership, you have to cancel basically a month ahead of time but you still get that month to use the beds- you can also freeze your account for $5 a month say like over the summer when you wouldn't use the beds as much anyway. This is a super clean, cute and nice tanning shop!
