Despite them getting picked over the day prior, it was well worth the 25 minute drive and the hunt looking in the bushes. The farm store is stocked full of in house grown seasonal vegetables as well as called sourced meat, dairy, and a wide range of products. Plenty of parking and even tables outside to sit a bit and enjoy their beautiful grounds. It appeared to be a neighborhood destination with kids riding their bikes with a shopping list for their parents to out of towners like ourselves stopping by for the first time. For the strawberry fields, they were some of the neatest, well organized picking fields we've been to and we can't wait to come back next year!

Although they do sell baskets, nothing was the size and variety I had in mind. Lawren offered to make an exception and put something together for me herself, even though that's not a service they normally offer at this store. With my general instruction and price, she set about pulling together a large variety of food and snacks. She did an absolutely wonderful job, and even delivered it herself. (which they also don't normally do) My relatives loved the gift and said the food was great. Having it from a local business that sources from local vendors was the cherry on top. I cannot say enough about Lawren and her remarkable kindness, both in agreeing to take on this task and in the execution of the assignment. I would HIGHLY recommend Clover Nook and their manager, Lawren, to anyone. It is a lovely local business with great products and an employee who takes 'above and beyond' to a whole new level. I have so much gratitude for them during this difficult time.

Pick up was super convenient, I was in and out each time in 5 minutes or less. It was so nice to be surprised by the weekly offerings. For the price, I think it factored out to costing about $11 each week and what I received was valued far beyond that. I even got some items I typically wouldn't normally buy, such as beets, swiss chard, cabbage, etc. It was a wonderful opportunity to try out new recipes with these too! The 1/3 share was so much for our family of 4 that we couldn't even keep up with the amount eating it each week. I ended up freezing tons of the fresh corn and squash to use later this fall for chili and crock pot soups. I would totally recommend signing up if you can!

Because I can tell you that their expansive land sitting next to the beautiful Route 146 has been the bullseye of many local developers' target for many years now. By the way, their land actually stretches much further to the north than what you actually see on Route 146. Check out the trails on the Pinchot Preserve to see some really interesting and cool terrain. Medlyn sells mostly sell eggs, tomatoes, firewood, and a few other farm produce items. Their eggs are produced from their very own chickens and cost approximately $3 for a dozen. Their roadside food stand is usually open during the summer months and closed during the winter months.

They have a wide variety of foie gras products. I believe they make many of them in house. You can buy foie gras by price, and of course the more you buy the better price you get. I picked up some duck breasts, priced as I would have expected. They do offer free shipping above a certain price point. The website isn't super intuitive, and feels a little outdated. But they may be busy working on new recipes, who knows?

I have an almost impossible amount of house plants and yet when I am in a store that has a garden center, I have to look and yes, I almost always end up getting a new friend. I have gone to many of the nurseries around the area and traveled out of my way for something new that I can't live without. Dramatic? Sure. Do I care? No. Am I exaggerating? Nope. So, imagine my heartbreak when one of my favorite little plant nooks had at least a dozen plants that were if not already dead, would be shortly. The worst part of this is because they haven't been watered! What used to be a beautiful hanging scindapsus has been reduced to a shriveled shadow of its former self. I found a Micans shoved on a low shelf in the same shriveled condition. I offered to buy it at a lower price but the woman didn't have the authority to adjust the price. I could go on and on. This is usually a great little shop and I have bought several plants there. I would much rather support a small business than a big box but come on, you have to do better especially when you are paying a premium. I will add pictures asap.
