Marla brings local businesses together and has frequent networking opportunities through mixers, speaking engagements, etc. Their new location is more modern and attractive to the visitors as the Chamber doubles as the local Visitors Center. It's also a great place to meet people or have a face-to-face meeting as one of the view facilities in the city that you can rent a conference room for not much money. Overall, I'm very impressed with Marla and the many volunteers that donate their time to help local business owners and run the show there in the office and during their many events.

When the plates arrived they were motorcycle size plates that don't fit the bracket on my golf cart. When I called about getting the large size plates they said I would have to drive back to the office and pay them again to have the correct size plates. They said whoever helped me should have asked and that most golf carts use the smaller plate. They were sorry I got the wrong size but would have to pay again to get the correct size. Make sure you know the size plates you need and that they order the correct size or it will cost you extra to correct the problem.

When we first moved to Johnson Ranch, we were highly impressed with amenities, parks, pools, etc. After 2 years of living in the community, we are attempting to sell our home solely due to the HOA. Customer service is a dead language here. When their landscaping is in poor condition, they tell you to pound sand. When we leave on vacation for a week with no general upkeep while we are gone, we get fined. Family comes in from out of town and temporarily park on the street for 1 night, we get ticketed and fined. They intrude on your property to inspect your back yard to verify that you have the minimum amount of trees and bushes, guess what....we get fined. The latest and greatest....I can not park my own vehicle in my own driveway because it has my company logo on it. After speaking with the Association, they tell me to find another line of work.....IT'S MY COMPANY !!!! They have a prejudice against the working class. Absolutely fed up to the point of relocating my home and family just to avoid the horrible association. Many of my neighbors are equally fed up. Be warned before choosing a home in Johnson Ranch, great place to visit, horrible place to live.

We had decided to take the scenic route (Pinal Pioneer Parkway) home from a day trip to Phoenix, and am so glad we did. Casa Grande Ruins was right on the way and was an easy stop that you MUST carve out at least 30-45 minutes for. Of course you can spend way more time than that here doing the movie and perusing all of the inside exhibit/information areas but can definitely do this in about half an hours time if you focus on the outside/ruins themselves. I found the ruins, along with the information fascinating. The monument/area is as well preserved as possible, although I will say I was sad to see that there were current day people who had etched things in the adobe. The inside area has lots of great information, National Park employees that are well versed in the history and a little gift shop. Pets are welcome in outside areas, including a short cut through the building to the ruins themselves. Clean bathrooms and a picnic area across the parking lot.

I offered to let them rebook the date and only wanted the difference in the cost of changing my airfare but Rita Ruiz told me she was not going to honor the contract. Beware of doing any business with them. I lost $1500.00 for the show they booked me for and $1500.00 for a show I could of done locally. They are forcing me to take them to small clams court later this year.
