The level of service is a crapshoot. I've been there 5 times, and 5 different people have "helped"…read moreme. Both men that waited on me were helpful. However, 2 out 3 women were not. One in particular, Julie, asked intrusive questions and was quite unprofessional and rude. While I was applying for benefits for my minor children, Julie actually asked, "so is mom in the picture or what?" My wife and I are still married (32+ years) but this has nothing to do with my son's benefits. My son currently lives outside of home due to his disability. Astoundingly, Julie also asked, "so when he turns 18, is he just gonna go straight to jail?" Again, not relevant, and a bit insulting. When I asked why these additional questions were necessary, Julie said that SSA needed to know the background of our family and our circumstances. What does our marriage situation and future plans for our son have to do with our son's benefits? Julie also called my phone a few minutes before our scheduled meeting and left a message on my voicemail saying that she needed to see court documents for my son's adoption. Apparently, I was expected to scramble and provide these documents within a few minutes even though I had already provided this information and documentation to the same office. Not sure why these and other prying questions were asked. Definitely NOT impressed with this SSA office.

Today I'm waiting for a package I've been expecting. The package has been out for delivery since 6:10am today it's now been 12 hours and it's still not delivered. I'll be surprised if I even get my package, they probably "lost" another package. How does this place get away with this? I will update if I do or do not get my package. Unbelievable. I also left feed back to usps directly about this location so hopefully they're going to get an investigation underway soon to get to the bottom of the disappearing packages and fire those who have been stealing from us.

Every time I've ordered something from overseas and comes through Bloomington Illinois Postal Service and this is the second order that I've made and it just sits there it's been sitting there since 18 July I don't believe they even try to ship it out. I believe they're keeping the goods for themselves and saying it's lost they can't find it that's what I believe. This is the second time it's happened and then I have to request a refund from the seller. I'm not sure what the problem can be. I do inform delivery there is a tracking number for the United States postal service and every time I check, it's just still sitting in Bloomington Illinois 60108 area. This is ridiculous. I see why the offices in Bloomington Illinois get a poor ratings only a few reviews. The government should be ashamed of themselves and how they allow these facilities to operate and the people that they hire to are the worst! it's appalling! you can get things faster from China! These people make great money, great benefits they'll have a good pension so I don't get it. What's the issue? We're overworked? well tough cookies!! this is what you signed up for. Quit!
