The young man that I got did nothing to help me. I had had a phone appointment on 3/10 which went right to voice mail. My phone never rang even tho I had entered in my phone as a contact. So I went in to the Venice Fl office and got this guy. He told me and I quote "you can't just walk in here without an appointment" I asked if he could make me one and he said NO I CANT DO THAT. He told me to call an 800 number that is only a recording. I have tried numerous times to apply on line but I get Verified it says but then at the end it says "We could not verify your identity" All I want to do is apply for benefits as is my RIGHT. i visited the venice, ssa, office, nov. 26, 2024, i was there & 0830, offcer ms. duqai, came out side to let me in. a machine was there to procure a reservation ticket, the office manager ms. jamie' came to wish me a good morning and inquire about the service i would need, at 0900, i was called and the officer jamie' took me to a window, i had a chair, chatted with mr. eli' a very effecient officer, three minutes with my documentation, i asked if he had seen this error before, " he smiled and said that this was not "his first time around the block" mr. eli made corrections in the computer to my irs paperwork, explained everything, i could not thank him enough, i offered him my organic protein bar, however, he was prohibited from excepting it, in summary, this ss' office was perfect, super clean caring, kind, excellent, larry king, venice, fl. large type employed to promote ocular comfort, read more

This experience is the most humiliating & demeaning experience my mother & I have ever gone through. And all I needed to do asMoms POA is to change an address and not where her checks go , they go into her personal bank account. I was on the phone 45 min while "Sharon" grilled my 95 yr old death & blind mom & because I was trying to help her to hear the fast pace questions we were told she was denied. She was upset ,she told the woman everything she wanted to know but it wasn't enough because my Mom couldn't understand all she was asked. Horrible experience no wonder there is fraud!!!! read more

My review is based on phone service only and I was delightfully pleased at how easy it was to talk with a human being on the other end of the line after following the phone prompts. I talked with Kimberly at the Venice Fl SS Administration office and although I didn't like the sought after information I felt Kimberly was courteous, prompt and sympathetic in the delivery. In other words I got my answer in a very short time. As with most people when you know you have to speak with someone working for the government you are really surprised when it is handled efficiently and expeditiously. Witness the bleakness of the human condition, as you share what feels like an eternity, waiting with other poor souls in a place not even Dante could have imagined... In case you are able to ignore the cold dead stares from the seniors here, you will still have to endure music from the satellite-tv that cuts in and out. If you thought elevator music was bad, try having it pause every few seconds. I am fairly certain tactics like these have been banned by the U.N., but it is probably all done on purpose -- just to discourage people from coming here. Anyhow, I guess if you can look beyond the torturous music and having to wait so long that you begin to look forward to the sweet release from your earthly chains, well, I guess aside from all of that it isn't so bad. I'd up the review rating if the online reservation system wasn't so limited and if they fix the reception on that darn television. read more
