In the entire time that I've been volunteering, the owner has been devoted to making the lives of stray and feral cats better. When she started this business, I was ecstatic! rather than take them to a boarding kennel, I have her come over daily to take care of my cats while I'm out of town. She has been professional, reliable, and caring, even showing up during the worst snow storms. She feeds them, scoops their litter, and plays with them. She sends pictures and videos of my guys so that I don't miss them as much and I know that they are doing well. I can't recommend Jet Set highly enough!

It's clear she goes above and beyond to create a safe, comfortable environment for pets and their owners. I can't recommend Cathy the Groomer enough. I had to be at work at three and it was going on 130 and I had yet to hear from her so I just made my way back to her place and when I got there, my dog was just now getting a bath. Her assistant was washing my dog. She wasn't in the room but when she did get back in; she was very rude about me just coming to pick up my dog without her calling and informing me that she was ready. Even after telling her I had to be at work she made it seem as though I should've told her that ahead of time which completely makes no sense because she literally rushed me to get there so why am I waiting two hours? Nor do I have to discuss my plans for the day with her. Ignorant and rude and I usually go to her. She proceeded to leave the room and go smoke a cigarette .I took my dog while she was soaked. Trash attitude. I'll never spend another dollar with her. And her work is very good just sucks how she acts

DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG AT PAWS INN THE WOODS, GRAFTON OHIO…read more My dog died because of the carelessness and complacency of the kennel staff at Paws Inn the Woods. My retired working dog has been boarded periodically at this kennel for years. He was never allowed to have blankets or toys in the kennel for his safety. This past stay, they put not one but multiple blankets in his kennel and admitted to having zero accountability of blankets or toys in general. They do not pay attention to how many blankets they put in and certainly do not pay attention if any become missing. Not even two days after having him home, I noticed he wasn't acting normal. He was trying to vomit and was struggling to poop. We took him to the Vet immediately, where they found he had a serious obstruction in his digestive tract. They performed emergency surgery and removed the material, which ended up being nearly a whole quilted blanket. Tragically, he ended up dying shortly after surgery due to the severity of the surgery's impact on his system. This was a healthy 8 year old GSD living out his retirement after years of service to this country which was tragically cut short due to a completely preventable incident. When I spoke to the owner of the kennel, she told me three things that broke our hearts even more. 1. She insisted this kind of thing has never happened before at her kennel. Which, after many years of working in pet and working dog kennels and professionally handling and training dogs, I know is not true. Dogs eating things is a very common thing in a kennel environment, which is why it is so important that the staff monitor and keep accountability of exactly what is put in each dog's kennel, if anything. 2. She said she had no idea how or when it happened. When I spoke to the kennel staff, they were immediately defensive and straight up told me they put not one, but multiple blankets in the kennel and had no idea one was missing because they don't count them. They said they don't have time for that. 3. The worst thing the owner told me was that she had no intentions of changing the way she ran her kennel and said she wouldn't lie to me and say she would, just to make us feel better. She was unbelievably unempathetic and offered us nothing in the way of an apology or anything. It is also important to note that while I had this conversation with the owner at the kennel just days after the loss of our dog, I witnessed another dog in an outside run tearing apart the stuffed dog bed that was in the kennel with him. When I pointed it out to her, she said "Oh he does that all the time, he doesn't eat it." She did NOTHING to stop the incident as I literally witnessed the dog pull mouthful after mouthful of stuffing out. For the safety and well-being of your beloved dog, I strongly discourage using this facility to board your pet. The owner and two staff members are lazy, and complacent. Keeping track of what goes in each kennel and making sure it comes out should be a priority at every kennel, among other important things that keep the dogs healthy and safe. For my dog, that lack of attention to detail cost him his life. I am speaking out to hopefully save other dogs from the same fate.

I have a 75 lbs. 19-month old puppy who refuses to get in the car so hadn't been to the groomer in months. He stunk to high heavens and his nails were very long. Dirty Paws promptly responded to my inquiry with a very reasonable rate and arrived promptly at the appointed time. Kim was patient to let my nervous giant pup get to know her before magically getting him into her van. She returned him to our door a while later smelling fantastic and with beautifully clipped paws. Again, I am so happy with the service and will be a repeat customer - what a phenomenal service they provide!

There was lots of promise of constant communication and additional "pack walk" sessions that were never mentioned again. I tried emailing her numerous times with problems that I was having, and all I got in response is that I have to learn to "pilot" my dog without any additional insight or direction. Never got any further information about these included pack walks. These theories may work for some people, but I learn from practice, not from lecture - for $200, I would expect a little more direction. I went with this particular company based on all the high praise on Yelp, so I wanted to make sure that other people got a complete picture of what they'd be getting.

When I try it they totally blow me off. She did have a couple good ideas for mental work-using a king wobbler for food/treats, and activity-using dog backpacks weighted with rice/beans, however again not worth $200. I also do not think dog training can be effective on one visit-at least one follow up is needed. She did say we could follow up with any questions-but I really don't have questions, I understood her method but it just doesn't work.
