Yesterday we had face painters and a juggling magician for our Corporate BBQ and Family Day at Heritage Park, and these guys were a big hit. I'm pretty sure they painted about 200 faces, kids and adults alike (they painted a fabulous glittery gold butterfly on the right side of my face). The juggler/magician - extremely entertaining. Funny, engaged the kids in his act, wandered from table to table getting everyone involved, definitely will be bringing this crew in again. These guys are great to deal with, great value for the money.

The most magical place in Alberta!…read more A friend of ours attended a vodka tasting event at Azuridge and we were blown away by the pictures, the estate seemed like it came out of a magazine, not an amazing local place! We had hoped they would accommodate a tiny wedding, and they did not disappoint. Everything from the first email, to the subsequent visits, has been over the top amazing. I had considered waiting to write this until our event was completed, but honestly, you neeed to know about this place. It is so posh and perfect, everyone who works there is on fire to make your experience amazing. Entering the gate into the estate sets the tone for the experience you are about to have. We came to tour the estate, brilliant experience, they have every single tiny detail perfected. Our engagement photos followed by some drinks in the beautiful Opal dining room? The photos are stunning, and we were so touched that a server we had not met yet congratulated us on our upcoming wedding. We are probably not this venue's typical clientele, but we have been treated like royalty since our very first contact. If you are ever so lucky as to have the chance to work with Trevor, jump on that opportunity. He is so amazing at what he does and takes care of all the little details you might not have even considered, which just adds to the magic of this place. If you are looking to be pampered and spoiled, or perhaps a little getaway, you won't find a better place to go in Alberta.

Herb and his colleagues have been absolutely fantastic to work with. Challenges and miscommunications (if any - and almost always my fault) are sorted out quickly, and as for the food - always the best quality in preparation and presentation. #2 - My company runs a bi-monthly seminar for almost six years. Just this past summer we found ourselves in need of a new venue. We require seating for 50-75, while we host three guest speakers and some networking in between talks. Once again, Herb, Rita, Margaret and team continue to deliver first class service, food and an atmosphere that is really hard to beat anywhere else in the city. In closing, it's important to note, that none of our clients, guests or seminar attendees have ever given a single piece of negative feedback. Everything has been extremely positive. To all the team at Willow Park Golf and Country Club, thank you for such attentive and consistent service over the past 5 years. You have our sincere gratitude.

Anita Jeanine was my wedding photographer at Fairmont Banff Springs 12/21/19. All our family and…read moregroup photos turned out blurry and completely unusable- This is a cautionary tale. I booked her in July after shopping around for a few months. We had a relatively expensive destination wedding and I wanted to make sure we picked early as there aren't many photographers willing to go to Banff. She had great reviews so we went ahead and put down a deposit. She was fine about communicating before the wedding and up until the event. Day before due to weather we couldn't shoot outside (it was a blizzard) so we decided to do a longer indoor family/bridal party shoot and then photos around Fairmont of myself and my husband. We made sure she had dinner and a place to sit, and let her go for the night whenever she had enough photos of the dancing. She moved family photographers out of the way to get her shots and we trusted her, since we were paying over $3000 for a day of photos. She said we would have photos as soon as 2 weeks after the wedding as "proofs" when we spoke on the phone before I put down a deposit. That never happened. I don't use social media, but about a month after the wedding I found she posted photos of the wedding without my consent on her pages, before she sent me those photos. Not a big deal, but if she had the photos uploaded and on social media, I would have appreciated her asking permission first and sending me the photos. I waited almost 2 months to get the photos in a downloadable folder. Communication plummeted after the wedding and response times were regularly 1 week+. I asked for the unedited photos as well. The folder of family and group photos was full of completely unusable, blurry images. I'm not talking slightly out of focus, sure, put it in a nice frame and it'll look fine type of blurry- these are so blurry that they are in worse quality than my grandmother's wedding photos from the 50's in a 3rd world village! My best guess is that she only has a fixed prime lens that she used the whole night so she couldn't focus the camera from a distance or add light to photos and the overexposure/lens settings blurred all the images. I emailed her back asking her to remove the edits and send me proofs. To this day, I have not received ANY unedited photos. I also asked for a partial refund, as the entire family portrait session is unusable- per her deliverables in the contract they must be reasonable enough quality to be on a 5x7" print and this is not the case. She offered prints and said that sending me 11x14 4x was a $460 value but putting a blurry picture on fancy paper and a high DPI printer can't solve the underlying problem. I get it, she's a nice lady, she's trying, but she cannot and should not be hired for weddings. I'm heartbroken to have paid a TON of money for this wedding and have no photos from it. Thank god for my uncles and aunts who brought their own DSLRs and iPhones!
