That was my experience. The menu is short and sweet. Consists of 4 very well-made burgers. The pulled pork "burger" (actually shreds of pork heaped onto a bun) wins, hands down. Moist, flavorful, and addictive. As for other choices: My friend loved her goose burger. And we (and many others) kept ogling the beef patty with bacon. Whatever you pick, you can't go wrong. You order and pay at the counter. Then sit back and wait for your order to be called. Meanwhile, thanks to the open kitchen/prep aprea, you can watch the hard-at-work cooks prepare your burger to perfection. Note: There's not much seating -- 8 seats at the counter, plus 5-6 tables upstairs. Either go during off-peak hours (whenever those are!) or share a table with other hungry & happy diners (which I totally recommend!).

This particular night, I had their "small" all-in platter that samples all the meat -- ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and two sides, coleslaw and grilled veggies were my choice. Cornbread included. Everything was delicious. And the "small" portion was super filling. If I had to be critical, the beer selection is fairly limited. But they've expanded the bar selection since the previous time I was here, so at least they're getting there :) I warmly recommend B-Smokery -- go there today, like now, and get your BBQ grub on! After asking the staff for recommendations, they said first timers should try their signature, Friends Burger, which is a classic cheese burger with all the usual toppings, with hand-cut fries and the truffle dipping sauce. My meal was solid. I was seriously impressed by how delicious the burger was from somewhere that's considered a fast food joint. I could easily tell the burger was hand-formed and cooked fresh upon order and the fries were hand-cut. Everything is freshly made here, including the baked buns. I was advised that Bryggeri Brewhouse might be open so got a reservation. When we arrived, I was told that the reservation represented seating inside with table service, but it was a beautiful evening so we opted to merely order from the fast casual counter and have the food delivered to us at a patio table. Our food was really good. I started with a serving of the salmon soup which had been recommended as a Helsinki specialty by our guide that day. I have nothing to compare this soup to, but it was outstanding. Great flavor, perfectly prepared salmon. The starter serving was more than enough for an entire meal, so I shared with the rest of our table. For our main courses, my wife had the sloppy joe sliders and I had the wild elk meatballs with mashed potatoes. The meatballs were wonderful, perfectly done, good flavor and matched well with the potatoes in the gravy provided. My wife found the sloppy joes to also be very tasty with a bit more kick than such an offering in the United States. The buns they were on were perfect and the entire serving very large. One other dish to comment on that was ordered at our table was the Chicken Burger. Do not get thrown off by the name burger and expect a ground chicken patty. This is a full-size chicken breast perfectly fried and with excellent condiments and sauces. So, food, 5 stars. When it came to the beer, there are only a few of the offerings available at the patio stand, so I was not happy with choices given this was a brewhouse. I learned later, after my first bland lager that I could just go to the main bar inside and get the full offering. So my second beer was excellent, the Sofia. This entire experience would have been a 5 except for a couple of faults. One was that food took a long time to arrive and came sporadically, and second is that the full complement of beers should be offered outside or the bartender there should inform patrons that they are limited, but 20 steps away they can order from the full list. If looking for a nice casual night out in Helsinki, I can highly recommend this restaurant.

After a while I noticed they were calling lots of stuff in Finnish from downstairs, we ordered in English and my estimate would be that most of the guests were also not Finnish and despite that the staff refused to call the numbers in English. Just louder and louder in Finnish. Luckily I had a low number so I actually recalled what it was in Finnish but otherwise it would have been endless running up and down the stairs to check what they actually were calling. After a long wait the burgers finally came. They really looked nice and I for a while thought they would be worth the price but what a disappointment. The burger was totally flavorless, no spices at all, meat also tasted like nothing. Despite us ordering medium rare and them stating they do no do well done both burgers were well done.
