At the start of our lesson, we did a warm-up/stretches to make sure our body was ready before surfing. Then, we reviewed how to get up on the board and balance/positioning techniques. I asked a lot of questions on surfing etiquette, conditions, safety getting out, etc. and Dan was helpful in answering all of them. I liked us progressive way of teaching as the lesson went in and my skills/confidence improved. Cory taught me proper pop-up technique, weight distribution, watching the tides, water safety, and so much more! He was in the water (without his board, just me on a board) with me the entire time and helped me to get the proper technique and form good habits. He starts off teaching on a foam longboard, which is more buoyant and softer. He offers his knowledge in buying wetsuits, surfboards, leashes, wax, and everything else!
