The worst grocery store I have ever been too. Produce section is filled with half rotten, dirt…read morecovered produce. Meat section is disgusting. Much of the cheap looking/previously frozen chicken is filled with water leaking from the "previously frozen chicken" . Chicken soaked in bloody fluid leaking all over the packages. You would have to be insane to buy red meat or steak from here as well. Low quality and poorly packaged. The dry stock is hard to mess up so I will give them a pass here. Minus each aisle always ALWAYS having staff ( kids ) on ladders with carts blocking the aisle, many of the boxes are left on the shelves after stocking as well. One till is all you will ever see open. I have never seen more than one open. The self checkout is what it is, although the staff have to bring you bags ( I guess they do not trust us to pay for them.....) .Note the bags are now done as of this week . So the self checkout is hardly viable anymore. Some of the staff seem alright, I note some serious attitude from a few of the young female cashiers, pretty standard to deal with that type of attitude these days so no suprise there either. I would rather go hungry than shop here, today I walked out in disgust and will never ever return. Sobeys isn't much better. Be a champ and drive to a real grocery store in St. Albert. Save on/Safeway. You get what you pay for.

The store has recently changed names, so I'm not sure if there are new owners or what the deal is. Nothing much else has changed with the name, aside from the prices. They've seemed to go up, but the quality of fresh produce and bakery items is usually worth the extra charge. Depending what day and time you go in, you will either have extremely friendly staff or staff who doesn't seem to give a crap - There is no in-between here. I'm not usually picky about staff at a grocery store (chances are the majority of them are high school kids), but in a tourist town like Athabasca, you think they could be a little more friendly. The store is generally clean and well-stocked, unless it's a holiday weekend. I will continue to buy my groceries here instead of the other grocery store in town.

Good afternoon,…read more Just wanted to let you know it was a great experience all around. Just thought you would like to know that the gal (super long hair but didn't get her name) at the store front was openly complaining about her wages in front of staff and customers. Disappointing. I've been a store manager since 1997 with a big retail company and as a manager I would like someone to let me know and give me the feedback of their experience. Thanks

Great No Frills! Love the Flashfood program here. Sign up on your smart phone, download the app,…read moreand save big on items reduced to sell or at expiry. No Frills are pretty well standard everywhere you go. Don't expect the latest and greatest new food item but do expect great prices on no name products. They also carry a line of produce called imperfect which has great taste but might have an imperfect appearance - perfect for smoothies, fruit salads, etc. Their namesake items are in solid bright yellow packaging; most of these can also be found at Superstore.

Yes, this is a little grocery store/market/deli/bakery... but I LOVE their Classic Turkey & Havarti Cheese sandwich!!! For only $4.99 you can't make this sandwich! They also have other options but this is my favorite. For a pre-made sandwich, the bun wasn't hard... or even soggy with everything on it. There is a generous portion of meat and a slice of havarti cheese. They also put the perfect amount of mayo on it to balance the sandwich off. From bun to bun, it is the perfectly balanced sandwich.... and did I say it's only $4.99??? I can't speak to anything else in the store because I found my favorite :)

They definitely pay more attention to detail in here. We picked up some apple cinnamon buns, sooo good. Never had them anywhere else. Also picked up a couple of pepperoni stuffed cheese buns. Yum yum. I'd drive from Edmonton to mornville just for the sobeys. Definitely stop in here and pick up some delicious baked yummies.

Having said that; every time I ask for something they do not have in stock, it is there the next time I go in! Literally everything I have requested, they have brought in. Can you get better customer service than that!?! They have a great selection of organic produce, which is always fresh. Even a decent gluten free section, which has become super popular. Prices are comparable to other stores (way cheaper than Save-On!) I was even told, some of their produce comes from the high school gardening club (from a student), fantastic! Maybe you can find prices a little cheaper somewhere else, but you may spend that amount in gas getting there ;) Great customer service, great staff (always polite and ready to help), great selection (for the amount of room they have) and great quality products. It is my go to store :)
