Garden State Car Wash and Detail Center is a full-service car wash and detail center where your pup can ride along as you drive through the tunnel for a front-row seat to all the action: ribbon curtains, rotating scrubbers, jets of water, and lots of soapy, bubbly fun. Depending on the service you choose, you will have the option to step out of the vehicle afterward and watch the hardworking staff add the finishing touches to your sparkling clean car. Garden State Car Wash is a local favorite in HOWELL and the surrounding area, known for its thorough service, so do not be surprised if there is a line on sunny days. They offer a variety of wash packages for every budget, along with detailing, oil changes, and other automotive services. Just a heads-up: the experience is noisy, dark, and full of flashing lights, so use your best judgment if your pup is sensitive to that kind of environment.

Definitely a pricey car wash compared to its local competitors without much of a result difference…read morein my opinion. I've been a resident of Freehold for quite some time and This car wash was my go to place until they raised the price. Like many other washes, this location has multiple tiers of service which varies at prices, but even their basic package I remember was costly compared to others which were about $8-10. The procedure was fairly simple. You pull up and given the option for vacuuming the interior and preference to drive yourself through the wash. The wash is not a laser wash, but a array of machines with fabric. No visual scratches or damages to the paint of my car after multiple uses, so no worrying about that; I know some people prefer touch less washes for paint preservation purposes. Upon completion of the wash, there are few people with towels outside wiping down your car. My experience here was generally neutral, but I don't go here as often for a quick rinse down due to the price change.

I called and ?Troy? told me I was mistaken, it did not happen there. They use these huge cloth strips that zig-zag there way over the car and I thought it was heard an unusual scratching sound but have never had a problem. Spoke to a lawyer friend that afternoon and determined it was WAY too difficult to press the case, considering we live in NYC. Certainly will never go back.

All was fine for a few weeks- no change in cars.... Suddenly, without explanation, a worker appears at my window and insists that the new policy is to remove all hitches from trucks and SUVs. Interesting because I had been through this thing numerous times as well as other car washes and in fact, my family also owned one years ago and this has never been an issue. Additionally, my hitch has a lock on it so there's no way it was going anywhere. no one offered to replace it after they took it off and there was no way for me to leave the line and abandoned the errand that morning. Fast-forward a few days later and I try to get my car washed during early business hours and it's closed. I try again later that day again during business hours and again it's closed. I guess the idea is to take your credit card and charge it but not to provide the service. Final comment, it's a tight squeeze when you come out and you try to get your vehicle set up near a vacuum. People plop themselves down right where the bay lets out the cars. PS: The owner and his wife also own HARRIGANS PUB and let's just say neither one is especially friendly or place much of an emphasis on customer service. I'd suggest PJs on 35 in Wall. That's where I'm taking my business now. Bc after trying to talk to the owner about my beef, I could tell he was totally checked out.
