Ik werd naar een kamertje geleid dat nog niet opgeruimd was na de vorige behandeling en wachten. Zij zelf ging weer weg. Na terugkomst vroeg ze wederom wat ik geboekt had. Tijdens de massage ging het licht niet uit (pas toen ik op mijn rug moest liggen) en stond er heel de tijd een soort dance muziek op, in plaats van relaxte muziek. De masseuse moest een aantal maal weg om te bellen en eenmaal bleef ze zelfs (met één hand masserend) bellen. Ze vertelde dat ze al negen uur aan het werk was en herhaalde tot driemaal toe dat ze kapot was. Ook gaf ze een paar keer aan dat als je zwanger bent je beter maximaal 45 tot 60 minuten kunt boeken en dat het niet goed was voor de baby. Nu moet u weten dat ik een eerder kindje verloren ben, vlak na een massage, met 8 weken zwangerschap. Ze vroeg naar de zwangerschap en mijn relatie en toen ik vertelde dat ik niet samenwoonde, moest ze huilen, omdat haar partner overleden is en haar kindje nu geen vader meer heeft en ze niet kon begrijpen dat mensen die van elkaar houden niet samenwonen. En dat je ieder moment moet genieten van de liefde. Ik heb haar toen nog getroost. Verder zat ze ongevraagd aan mijn buik en voorspelde het geslacht van de baby. Tot slot heeft ze na een uur de massage afgesloten, in plaats van de 75 minuten die ik geboekt had. Ik heb werkelijk nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt.

It had everything you need and what they had was top notch. *AMBIANCE* Cozy, elegant, and stylish. There is some history to this place and you can tell two things: 1) It is family owned and they are taking good care of the place, and 2) the interior decoration is outstanding and they family put a lot of effort into getting it to where it is. Overall, the place is very quiet, peaceful, and a great place to relax. *SAUNAS* Their saunas met the mark with a high margin. The hot sauna is hot! The infrared sauna makes you sweat! The low heat sauna is great for relaxing! The water pool - cold! The steam room - great for skin cleansing and relaxing. They were all kept very clean! *ETIQUETTE* No clothes of any kind allowed in the saunas. Place your towel under you to cover your full body and to capture your sweat. Saunas and dressing room are co-ed, in fact the entire place is co-ed. Behave respectfully and politely. Ask the staff for any clarification, as they were super polite, helpful, and kind. Great place to try your first sauna in the Netherlands.

For that reason, walk-ins are nearly impossible, and reservations are hard to get...and it can occasionally get crowded to the point where you might have to wait or return to get a good seat in one of the saunas. Otherwise, as mentioned--and as indicated by its name--the "Deco"-era interiors are unlike any I've ever experienced at such a spa, which further adds to the escapism that is the bliss of a spa with different saunas, a cold plunge, etc. The owners and operators are truly wonderful, too! I visited multiple times during my first visit to Amsterdam, and I will certainly return when I visit again.

It was not crowded at all for a Monday evening. Everyone kept to themselves really. I don't have a problem with public nudity, so this place being a no-clothing zone was of no issue for me. Like I said, people really mind their own business here. Facilities are kept clean and nice. It's really serene here. Price was good as well. About 30€ for the evening (without any rentals of towels/shoes) when you arrive after 5. I'd come back here if I had the time.
