We're halfway through our two week trip in Europe & needed to do laundry before boarding a cruise…read moreship tomorrow. We stopped at Palthe as it was close enough to our hotel & near plenty places to visit in between switching the laundry from wash to dry. When we arrived, the owner offered to wash, dry & fold our load of laundry for 25 EUR (only 5 EURO more than it would cost do buy soap & do it yourself). This gave us the freedom to go wherever we wanted during the 3 hour window in which our laundry was being done. It worked out perfectly & we were able to check into our hotel at 3:00 having spent a great day in central Rotterdam (with clean clothes). Everything went right into the suitcase! Tip for those traveling from the cruise port, take Tram 25. It drops you off 4 minutes away. Tram 23 is an option, but it drops you off much further away.

I had a very bad experience at Stomerij Centra. I brought my suit and tie there for dry-cleaning, 3…read moredays before the PhD defense of my girlfriend. I explained this fact to the owner who assured me that everything would be cleaned and ready to be picked up by Thursday afternoon. To allow for a little buffer I told him I would pick it up on Friday morning. Upon my arrival on Friday morning, he told me that the tie was not cleaned yet, because there were some stains on it, and that I would have to come back in the afternoon. When I explained him that the fact that were stains on the tie were the (logical) reason why I brought the tie to the dry cleaning in the first place, that he promised me the cleaning until Thursday and that this was a big problem due to the defense of my girlfriend, he just shrugged his shoulders. He offered no excuses or reimbursement nor did he make any attempt to solve the situation. He was just indifferent and almost annoyed because there were customers behind me and he probably did not want them to notice his mistake. In the end I had to leave the shop with my dirty tie which I ultimately had to replace by another tie for the defense. The fact that he did not keep his promise for the given date paired with his utter indifference was truly frustrating and just bad customer service. I strongly suggest bringing your clothes elsewhere for dry cleaning.

Stomerij Centra advertises 24/7 schedule but it is a lie. I went more than 10 times in the weekend or evening and I was not able to bring or take cloths because the machine was not working, the pin machine was out of order or the front door did not open. When I told the owner about these issues, he tried to pretend it is not true and when I insisted he only acknowledged that it happened once or twice but no big deal...This is a big lie! 2. The owners of Stomerij Centra lack client friendliness. I mentioned these issues twice and they never offered an apology or monetary compensation for my trouble. They give you the impression that they are somehow superior to you and it is okay if they did not repeatedly deliver on their service. Their lack of resolve made me write this review so maybe they are starting to wake up... 3. The price is too high if you consider the full service package. The cloths were always cleaned well and without damage. However, I also became a client because I want the flexibility in my schedule. With my experiences, I spent more time than I'd actually gained. They never put updates on the website when the Stomerij is out of order. Or in this digital world, they could build an app to provide updates to clients. You only find out that something is wrong once you are there and it is too late... I've given them too many chances and I'm not going back unless they improve their service.
