What a great idea to have a thrift store attached to the church and school. I kind of wish our…read morechurch did that. They are always trying to raise funds for the church and school. What a great idea. This is the way thrift stores should be. Priced to sell and reasonable. I don't want to buy something from a thrift store that I can get at a store new for not much more. There are a bunch of sweet older church lady volunteers working here who are so nice and helpful. It is pretty old school. Marking down there prices in a little notebook, taking checks- cute. I did hear them tell a lady writing a check that they would be switching to credit cards shortly. They sell a variety of things- Toys, clothes, old school uniforms, dishes all kinds of stuff you would expect to see at a thrift store.

I asked someone in the lot, and she pointed to the far side and said to park there. Long walk. I really needed a handicap spot, but they were also marked "for church use only." Okay, finally in the store. Country music was coming from the speakers. Excuse me, it's a Catholic church--I expected holy music or something that matched the "owner" of the store. I tried to look around while my ears were being audibly assaulted. LOTS of clothes and knick knacks. Couldn't find what I wanted, so I settled on a $5 knick knack to show for my efforts. Dropping off donations is tricky. One "parking spot" by the back door is available for that. As much as I respect the Catholic Church, I'll have to pass on this thrift store.
