I hired Santos to repair stucco columns that had been damaged by sprinklers because I needed the…read morework completed quickly to comply with my HOA requirements. The stucco work itself appeared reasonably priced, and I was hopeful the project would go smoothly. Unfortunately, after the work was completed, I discovered that my irrigation timer had been opened and switched to "off." Santos and his crew had been working at my home during the exact time my sprinklers normally run, and in the extreme Arizona heat (110+ degrees), many of my lantana plants and other landscaping quickly became stressed. The lantana looked crispy, and nearly all of the flowers had dropped. When I contacted Santos to discuss my concerns, I was disappointed by his response. Rather than asking his crew whether anyone had adjusted the timer or offering suggestions on how to help save the plants, he immediately denied any involvement. While I understand accidents happen and may not always be intentional, I expected a greater level of professionalism, concern, and willingness to help investigate what occurred. What started as an affordable repair has now become a stressful situation with the potential for additional landscaping expenses. If you choose to hire this company, I would strongly recommend documenting everything and double-checking your irrigation settings after the work is completed.
