My wait times have been less than 5 minutes for each visit and I am always early. A nurse always escorts me back to a room and the Dr is there within 5 minutes of the nurse leaving. I have been referred to several specialists who have all been wonderful experiences also. The facility is clean and modern. I truly feel blessed that I found such a competent Dr who spends ample time with me to assure we work as a team on my health.

This poor excuse of a doctor dismissed my concerns, pain and simply put, accused me of being a drug addict. He had me go to a liver sonogram because my levels were high, asked me if I drank or did drugs to which I politely declined. Then again told me "they could only be high if I was putting some sort of substance in my body". He prescribed me lyrica and when I requested a revaluation of my treatment (it was causing me insomnia and severe nausea) he upped my dose and told me he could no longer treat me and I could see a pain management doctor as they are the only people who can help people "like me". The steroid shot didn't last long but gave me the immediate relief I needed. The results of my MRI showed 2 ruptured discs. Dr. Darla Rivera has been my primary care physician for over 13 years. I have not always been the…read moreeasiest patient, as I deal with chronic obesity, chronic pain, and several chronic conditions. However, through it all, Dr. Rivera has treated me with kindness, respect, and dignity, while at the same time, never skirting the issues. I found early on that Dr. Rivera is quite different from other physicians I have seen. She is not afraid to run tests or refer to specialists to get to the bottom of the issue. She always takes TIME to hear what is going on, and thus, has many times figured out things that other physicians simply wouldn't have considered. She has a vast amount of knowledge, but still continues to research new treatments and medications that may be most helpful for her patients. I have referred many friends and even strangers to her care. She has raised the bar high for any other physician I may consider in the future. But I plan to continue being under her care for as long as possible! In conclusion, Dr. Rivera is not a perfect person, however, because of her expertise, compassion, and ability to understand me as a PERSON, not just a paycheck, I highly recommend her as a physician.
