The last few times I went there with every intention of buying shoes, I walked out empty handed. It seems as if all of the boots were made with pvc- I couldn't find one pair of quality leather boots. I just recieved a gift card for Christmas to purchase a casual pair of sneakers. Unless you're a gym rat and wear the mesh and nylon styles, or need a dainty casual suede shoe, you won't find a pair of full grain leather sneakers. That's all I want- a white leather court shoe. The website lists an adidas and a nike genuine leather, low top court shoe, but in the store, the items with the same style # are made with a composite pvc. Why pay 3x to 5x the price for a shoe you can buy at walmart. DSW just isn't the shoe store it used to be. I will likely have to sell the gift card with some loss of it's value but the likelihood of finding anything I want to buy is slim to none.

After searching for a store associate - I was told I had to take them to register for a pice. So I stood in line and waited. The boot/shoe rang up $39.99 - "prefect, I'll take them" I told the cashier (in addition to 2 more pairs). Then I'm told the boots/shoes are actually $67.99. and I was given the wrong price. 10 seconds before I was told something completely different. The cashier said "sorry for your inconvenience but this is the price" - I then requested to speak to a manager. The manager was rude and not personable. She told me "the cashier rang up the wrong thing" and she would "example it to me but I wouldn't get it." She then " requested my patience since they've only been open a month. They are unable to price the items because they are busy" - the cashier was alone ringing items up - so why wasn't she being trained or being someone with her. I understand if this was their first week but a month into being open - the staff should have a understanding on how to ring items up or not be left alone. Finally she said "I can give them to you for $47.99, do u want them?" She was unprofessional and definitely needs a communication class. Also both bathrooms were out of order - not acceptable... the hall that leads to the bathroom had boxes stack over 6ft tall. It was a safety hazard squeezing pass them only to discover out of order bathrooms.

This seems to take forever, when they only have one person working the register. The guy in front of me had 3 pairs of shoes, and the cashier went in the back, and was still in the back when I left the store.
