From the time I walked in, took the photo, waited for them to be developed was 10 minutes. If you're like me you appreciate the efficiency paired with the friendly service. I was surprised to see that Snappy snaps can do more than just passport photos. They do everything and anything photo related and can make wonderful gifts. Would I go back? Yes! They will be my go to place for all of my photo needs.

They chise the best one, formatted it and the passport pictures were ready to pickup 30 mns later. At pickup the people were lovely, the place neat. All happened quickly and efficiently. Despite having a particularly lazy day appearance-wise (of all the days to wear zero make up and not wash my hair!) I had no choice but to get some photos taken. Being painted bright yellow on the outside, this place had stuck in my head when walking past. I wandered in and asked one of the three staff members if they took passport pics. She asked me to follow her downstairs where they have a plain coloured background and lighting set up to take them straight away. It took me ages to take all my layers off from the cold outside; I found myself automatically making small talk to fill the silence, but the woman holding the camera clearly wasn't a fan. It was actually a little disconcerting how silent she was. By this time I was too embarrassed to ask to check my hair (so my own fault there's a little tuft sticking out of the side of my ponytail in the pics). I was also was smiling far too much in an attempt to cover my awkwardness, which you're not supposed to do in passport photos, meaning we had to take three. By the third one I actually had to think of something really dark (like, even worse than Mufasa dying) to keep a straight face. Back upstairs we went and the unsmiling but extremely efficient lady printed my mug shots from one of the machines. She then stamped each of them out at the correct size using a handy pre-sized rectangular cutter and charged me £10 for 6. In total I couldn't have been there more than 10 minutes which seemed amazingly snappy service to me, and the part that took the longest was me taking off and on my coat/scarf/mittens. You probably don't have that default nervous smile issue like I do either so would be even quicker. My only suggestion is to give us the option of paying for 2 photos rather than making you print 6. It's bad enough that one of them will stay with me for the next ten years every time I travel, but nobody needs to see the other 4 so they're a bit of a waste. Still, I'm very grateful to this place for making an annoying last min task almost too easy to be true - now let's just hope the passport arrives in time!

I didn't expect them to use photoshop or anything but even I know that there is trick or do you can do with the camera, if you just can be bothered.. It was a shame that I was in a rush to have a passport photo that now that horrid picture still follows me in my student card. Every time I see it I feel like ripping it off! It was my enrollment day at school when I realised I had forgotten to bring the pictures. Funny that I had already taken them, in some machine at the tube station. And those came out as perfect. Then at the photography store where you pay the double and have a professional taking it, well a guy that seemed just bored, its turns out to be a disaster. People, based on my experience, use those automatic machines!

The quality was fantastic too! I just renewed my driving licence picture, they took several photos and I chose the one I liked the best. If you don't like the picture you should not accept it and ask them to do another one! I guess the last review was over 2 years ago so maybe they've improved since then. Keep up the good work Snappy Snaps!

I managed to get my photos and they were provided in minutes which is good but I just wanted to raise a couple of issues. Firstly, I had to pay for 6 photos per person as this is the minimum number they provide. I only need 1 photo for my kids' passports and I dont need an additional 5 photos as they don't have any other forms of I.D. Normally the minimum number of photos is 4. Therefore there is a lack of flexibility and it's just an excuse to charge more in my mind. The second issue was the smell inside the shop. It wasn't pleasant and I couldn't wait to leave.

It's increasingly difficult to find places which take passport photos but the Snappy Snap shops still offer this service. They also open early, which is useful if you work and want to pop in before work. The lady who dealt with me was knowledgeable and put my mind at rest with her confidence with knowing the requirements for the visa photo. She also took a few snaps to get a good shot. It cost me £25 for 2 physical prints and a CD with the precious digital image to upload. Whilst waiting for my photos to be printed, I also observed other customers interacting with staff members and was very impressed by the professionalism and standard of service shown to every customer. I was surprised that the passport photos were so reasonably priced, for such a personalised service, and in the West End too. I also didn't know there was such a range of products that could be photo-printed, so I will definitely be checking these out. All in all, an excellent customer experience.
