I guess I will be the first in 2018 to put out how bad my experience has been with Snapflash Photo Booths. Please feel free to verify all of what I am about to say by first doing the following: 1) Log onto their website, when the "Live Support" icon pops up just wait a few seconds and you will get the following: "We apologize for keeping you waiting. Our operators are busy at the moment, please leave us a message with your email address and we'll get back to you shortly." THEY NEVER HAVE ANYONE ON THAT SITE 2) Call the phone numbers on the website for customer service. You will ALWAYS get an answering machine. THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE. The only thing they respond to is when you leave a voice mail or email that you want to spend money. Why do I say this, because once you purchase your booth, don't expect to receive support. They advertise that they have the "Best warranty in the industry" and guarantee to mail you a replacement part so you can receive it in a couple of days. NOT TRUE. I have left 5 voice mails, a dozen emails, and opened 2 tech support tickets on the site to replace my flash. NO RESPONSE. And reading other reviews here on Yelp, I concur with them.... Ever since day one purchasing from them I have regretted it. Not because of the product. The product is excellent. Build quality of my booth is spot on. The problem is that if you purchase a Tesla, you have certain expectations i.e. that they will back the warranty. Imagine purchasing a Tesla and the moment you have a problem with it the company doesnt bother responding to your requests for help. As far as training goes, hope you like texting. Kevin loves texting. When he does do a "training" with you on the phone he starts with a 5 minute lecture about how you need to silence your phone and just watch what he does and dont ask questions. He is extremely rude. My personal opinion is that they build great equipment but completely fail to hit the mark when it comes to customer service. Don't do it. I ordered my booth in dec 2017 and didn't get it till feb 2018. It came shipped with the wrong camera a lower model. The shell has a crack. And till now march 16 I never received my printer. I called numerous times no answer. I emailed them about the crack and wrong camera and they seem to not care. I emailed them about not getting my printer well I got no response. As soon as they get your $ they don't give a rats a$$ about you. What everyone says on here is true. They want to control your booth with the leave your system on so I can do the templates. They remote in anytime they want to. Lies they don't even do it they leave you high and dry. You have to make an appointment for them to do skins and layouts and they never every did it. He is rude. read more

I am sorry that I ever bought a booth from Snap Flash, the customer service is the worst thing I've ever seen. You spend literally thousands of dollars with them for them to basically attempt to run your business the way they want things done. There is NO manual no way to learn the equipment with out their assistance or with out them telling you what they want you to know. Something is wrong? You did it hands down no questions asked you definitely broke it. Not sure how a stuck screw comes out? Ask a Man....that was the advice given to me. Try something on your own? Why would you do that this is ugly, I would never do it that way, I am the expert you need to listen to me do as you are told. I am the CEO of a company I do not have time to listen to this crap. These are ACTUAL things that have been said to me, ME the paying client. MY business has flourished so in fairness the equipment itself is fine but I also now know that I did not have to spend $7000 to get it either. This review will be 2 parts # 1 equipment # 2 customer service #1 Equipment- personally I have not had a lot of the equipment issues that I've since heard people have. My keyboard did come and didn't work properly. I didn't have a microphone and then the one they instructed me to purchase did not work. Although my camera that I paid and upgraded to a canon t3i did come with a piece of glue holding down the button where you switch from manual to auto. It's an alright booth. There are other booths out there like it. It uses photo boof as its operating program. Which isn't the easiest to learn. So equipment wise it's not spectacular but no major complaints # 2 customer service - This is the issue with snap flash. Most of us booth users bought it because of its warranty and promised customer service. But there are some major strings. Yes...he will help you setup a website. BUT it was be ugly and you can't change it, he will charge you $30 a month for it, he will register it under HIS name, he will cc all the inquiries to go to himself as well as to you and when you try and move it he will dump you. The photo booth HAS to stay remotely active and no password protection can be added. (So he can access it to fix it) what he doesn't tell you is that this also allows him to access it WHENEVER he wants and the camera as well. And forget about the service part. He has insulted me and others and made sexiest remarks to ALL of us. There is an entire Facebook group of people that he has done this to. And if you call him out on any of this then yes he may be blunt, but it's because he was raised in England and well that's just a cultural difference. What sold me on the booth was the warranty part and if you make him mad then you'll void your warranty. So I could've bought a better booth and avoided the headache of dealing with him. read more

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A PHOTO BOOTH FROM KEVIN!! I purchased my booth back in late 2014 and soon learned he was not going to be helpful as he claims. He wants FULL control of everything you do on the photo booth and basically tells you everything you do is wrong. Kevin the owner is the rudest person I've ever met. He has made smart remarks towards me, telling me what I've done is horrible, to just listen to him, he's the CEO. When you first purchase the booth he "trains" you on this difficult software on the booth (which I think he does on purpose) to only have you purchase a DIFFERENT, easier software to design your photo headers. I ordered media from him January 9, 2018 and STILL have not received it. Really didn't want to reach out to him because of how he is but i had no choice because the media had been discontinued and he said he had it available. Will not give out where he buys if from because it's most likely a lot cheaper and he's selling it for way too much! I know I've ordered it from different manufacturers. I've called multiple times, emailed him multiple times, left voicemails and he STILL has not gotten back to me. I have not been able to do events because I have no media, and have no clue when i will receive it! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT purchase a photo booth from this company. The customer service from Kevin is absolutely horrible. He talks down to everyone, he communicates via text and online tutotials that you have to schedule to learn about the booth, he monitors our facebook group page by only approving what posts he wants, he is completely unprofessional. The tutorials are awful. Absolutely awful. And if anything is wrong, you better expect to get blamed. He will swear it is all your fault. He does not know how to talk to people. The booth itself is completely homemade. If you still think you want a booth from him, ask for a detailed video and pictures of the booth. He sends you a flimsy backdrop stand, cheap backdrops, cheap lights. The only thing professional is the printer and you can get that on Amazon. Buying a booth from this guy will be the worst mistake ever. He doesn't allow for reviews on his facebook business page which should be a big red flag. What does he have to be scared of? Any company that doesn't allow for honest reviews is one to avoid in my opinion. He begs for reviews and only allows the "good ones" on his page. If you want a real review, you'll have to look for the secret snapflash group that was created online without his knowledge. That's where you'll see the real feedback. February 15, 2017 at 1:02 PM, I submitted a payment that was intended to be in the amount of $5,922.00 for a photobooth. However the card declined because I used the wrong card for the purchase. Against my knowledge, this company kept trying to charge various amounts to the card until they successfully charged $1000.00. When I spoke to Kristen that day , I informed her that I did not intend to use that card for the purchase which was why it declined. However, I left it alone. I was not given the opportunity to rectify the issue on my own and use the appropriate card. I should have suspected shady business from this day. On February 17, 2017 at 12:43PM, the final payment was submitted on two different cards with three different transactions. On February 17, 2017 at 1:26 PM, I texted Kristen and Kevin asking to cancel my purchase and asked for a refund. Kristen said she would inquire about the refund and I haven't heard back from her since. I engaged in back and forth communication with Kevin via text messages about cancellation. Kevin stated that the best he could do was give me a 50 percent refund of the entire purchase. Kevin stated that "as a favor to me" they started the customization of the booth when they received the $1000.00 on February 15, 2017. However, I was and still remain perplexed as to how I am being charged 50 percent when I cancelled an item within an hour. I've asked the company what was done to initiate customization and I have not gotten an answer in regards to this. Kevin stated the photobooth was already packed and ready to shop when I paid, which I found rather odd. A deposit of $3000.00 was required on my invoice in order to initiate anything and I did not insist on an immediate rush for the product. Kevin insisted I take the weekend and reconsider it. However, I insisted on cancelling the purchase. He has been very ambiguous, unethical and unsympathetic in this whole process. After constant back and forth communication via text messages throughout this week. Today, February 23, 2017, Kevin is still insisting that I take 50 percent of the entire purchase because "I agreed to it last Friday." When we have made no such agreement. I have been trying to cancel since February 17, 2017 and Kevin has been trying to prolong and only return 50 percent of my money. Kevin insists it is the company's policy when I have not seen any policy. It is neither listed on the invoice nor on the website. I have been demanding a copy of such since Monday, February 20, 2017 and have yet to receive it. There was no legal basis and ethical or moral reasoning in this company's decision. I feel like I am being swindled and scammed out of $5922.00 with absolutely nothing to show for it. I would NOT recommend purchasing a Snapflash photobooth. The booth itself is "ok". It is not bleeding edge technology, nor is it state of the art. The processors are sub-par for anything but the most simple of photobooth programs such as Photoboof. There is nothing unique about the booths that stand apart from any others on the market..they seem to wait for a successful design to come out, then copy it. The main problem with purchasing a booth from Snapflash is the owner. It is his way or no way. He prohibits any changes to the computer. You can't add anti-virus software, yet this is a booth that connects to the internet. You can't add Chrome as a browser. In fact, you can't add any software unless he does it. You are not allowed to password protect your computer. You MUST allow unattended access through GoToAssist. Any violations of this will result in termination of your support and warranty. Think about this very carefully. With unattended access, your computer (and remember, there is a camera on it that is live) is vulnerable to being accessed without your permission any time it is connected to the internet. Do you really want to chance somebody looking in to your home (if that is where the booth is) without you knowing it? I am not accusing Snapflash of doing this, but it is an ugly internet world out there with plenty of hackers and you are not allowed to even put a password on your computer. If they hack gotoassist, they can see into your home. There have been several times when a picture gets taken on my photobooth when nobody is around it. If you do not join his VIP program at a cost of over $300 per year, the support during non-emergencies is awful. On a positive, his emergency support is typically good, but be prepared to be spoken down to for not following his previous "training". If you do join his VIP program, often times the product delivered is not what you want....too bad. On his official Facebook page, he does not share information. If you want to know something, the typical response is "open a ticket" instead of sharing information with everybody. He is well known for missing or being very late for appointments. When he does log in to fix one thing, or show you something, he will configure the software the way he likes it to be. The free websites he creates are canned. Yours will look just like all the other ones he creates (with a few minor differences) and comes standard with false reviews and endorsements. After 6 months, he will start charging you to maintain the site. Much easier to use a free host. Bottom line, had I known then what I know now, I would have purchased my booth from anywhere else. It is not worth the headache or time. You might be happy for a couple of months (maybe), but odds are, you will finally meet the "real" owner. read more
