I am extremely disappointed with my experience involving Andrew Yanni during the sale of my home…read more The contract closing date was supposed to be Monday May 11, and because of that deadline I rushed to moved everything out of my house. I was told I needed to be completely out by that date, I canceled my utilities, packed up my belongings and no longer have a bed to sleep on because I truly believed the transaction would close as agreed. At the last minute, I was informed the closing would be delayed until Thursday May 14 due to issues on the lender's side. This created unnecessary stress, inconvenience, and emotional hardship during an already difficult time in my life. What upset me the most was not only the delay itself but the lack of empathy and accountability surrounding the situation. According to my real estate agent, the communication from Andrew Yanni regarding the delay came across as dismissive rather than understanding of how deeply this affected me as a seller. I understand delay can happen in real estate, but when people are depending on contractual closing dates to move, cancel services and make major life decisions, professionalism and compassion matter. In my opinion, experienced lenders should understand the serious impact delays can have on families and home owners. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the hardship caused and no effort made to help ease the stress created by the delay. I am sharing my experience because I do not want others to go through the same situation without being fully aware. I strongly encourage future clients to ask detailed questions to ask about communication, timelines and how delays are handled before choosing to work with Andrew Yanni.
