Matt was extremely professional with his communication and advocated for me to my landlord to get a new toilet (that wasn't disgusting to work on) and a new bathroom sink that actually had cabinets for my storage. He even got a new mirror with a medicine cabinet because he noticed there's no space in the bathroom. He came back to clear the drains for me when it wasn't draining due to the former tenant clogging it with hair and makeup products in the sink for years. When my sewer line was leaking and there was sewage and toilet paper all over my basement, he immediately got approval with my landlord to come on Saturday, finished his lunch and was over in less than an hour. He spent hours downstairs and navigated through my tiny stairwell, and at one point my stair hand rail broke (it must have been loose already as everything has fallen apart since I moved in.) It wasn't a big deal at all, he offered to remove it and I told him don't worry about it. A few days later he reached out and asked if he could come back to fix my hand rail as he'd gotten all the supplies. I never expected that but it was above and beyond service and follow up. I've been incredibly impressed with Matt's service and dedication, he had many other projects going on when he was requested to come fix up my bathroom after the last plumber but made time for me regardless, and did more in a day than the former plumber did in two weeks at my residence. We moved into our house about a year ago and I heard this often because our basement leaked after a rainstorm. I assumed that's what it was. While we didn't have several inches of water wall-to-wall, we had bits of TP, sewage and icky, dirty water coming out of the drain. YUCK! For whatever reason our main plumbing line was backed up and I didn't have a plumber to call. I prefer small town businesses so I didn't call the 'big companies' but I did call several recommended one man shows and they weren't able to come right away. Until I found Matt Wolfe. Within 45 minutes (he was at another job) he was over to look at the problem. Then he left to get the proper equipment and was back within the hour. He couldn't give an estimate until he got in there, which I understood, but he told me to expect between $115 and $500. I know that's a huge range but it was better to know than not. After a few hours and countless trips up and down our basement stairs (with heavy bulky equipment) our drains were unclogged. He took the time to fill the wash tub several times, he had me flush too so I could make sure it was working, he even asked me if I had more towels so he could clean up the mess and toss the towels in the washer for me! Umm, awesome! So all I had to do after paying him (ended up around $300 because he had to go quite a ways out to clear it), was wipe up some of the black stuff and mop. I'm not sure if plumbers usually do that but it spoke VOLUMES. We also chatted for a little while after. He's very personable, I felt very comfortable having him come in and out of the house. He let me do my own thing while he worked. It was a really good experience. Matt also works on water, drain, air and gas lines, water heaters, water treatment systems, water softeners, toilets, fixtures, faucets and disposals. I talked directly with the owner of the company who answered his phone (rather than switching over to an answering service or machine as many contractors do after hours). The quote for drain clearing was a bit more than other sewer cleaning contractors I'd worked with in the past, but it was worth every penny, and in the end it saved me money. While discussing my problem on the phone, he checked out the municipal water system's records online and diagnosed what he suspected my problem was before we hung up. He was at my home within twenty minutes of me calling (keep in mind it was after hours). He not only cleared my line with a sewer snake / cable, but he also scoped it all the way to the street with a camera to ensure it was clear. And then he re-snaked the line to loosen some remaining residue that we wouldn't have been aware of if we hadn't run a camera through. The work required removing a toilet to get to the clog in the buried sewer line, but he left me the parts to reset it myself and save some $$$. Not only did he provide excellent customer service, but his vehicle, tools, and equipment were extremely clean.

Definitely should have asked for a cost before-hand because they came to Waverly to fix it and charged us $287.50 for 15 minutes of work on a pipe that is above ground. We called to ask for an invoice breaking down the charges and she said they couldn't provide that. She said they just have a flat fee they charge for going out of town. I asked if it was a $250 charge for going out of town and $30 for the repair and she said "I told you, I can't break it down for you. That's just our charge." We definitely will ask for a cost next time... but it won't be with these guys... that's for sure.

At 5:12 he called again to let me know the compressor was probably bad and he could get me a bid for a new AC unit. I then get a bill in the mail for $386. This included 2 hours of labor. He was only there for 45 minutes at most. He also never took the service panel off the unit. If he had, he would have noticed the small garter snake wrapped up in the capacitor which was the cause of the problem. I told Greens I was not going to pay for a 2 hour service call with a completely wrong diagnosis. I keep getting billed the same amount plus interest every month. BBB will be getting my formal complaint next.
