I think I've been to most of the usual suspect rehearsal spaces by now. Snaggletooth is 5-10 minutes further outside NoHo center, and absolutely worth the extra drive time. Rooms are well-appointed, not too much sound bleed from neighboring rooms, and the equipment is solid. It just feels better to play in this space, and given the price and ease of parking, it's worth your time to give it a try. Everyone I've met on site has been super nice and helpful. This is our favorite spot by FAR, but the one thing I will say is that they are VERY rigid about the 48 hour cancellation policy. One of our guys was hit with COVID, so I called 35 hours before my scheduled time, as soon as they opened, and they absolutely refused any consideration of moving my time slot. I wasn't even asking for a refund, just a couple of days buffer. As a result, I'm not booking much in advance anymore, so if they happen to be booked up a few days before we plan to arrive, I end up going elsewhere. I've been to a lot of rehearsal studios, both in LA and back in the UK. Snaggletooth is easily one of (if not) the very best. The equipment in each room is worth the visit, but each room is acoustically treated and kept pristine. Honestly I was blown away by the experience. My band and I were trying out a few different spots to find a new place to practice. Snaggletooth was the clear winner. If it had its own parking lot this place would be 11 out of 10 rather than 10/10, but there's plenty of street parking as long as you don't mind crossing the street. read more

This business requires you to give a glowing review in order to receive a basic discount so the place would cost same as anywhere else. The company is HORRIBLE & customer service atrocious . My band had an emergency, i called to reschedule and cancel within the time allotted not only would they not move anything, they refused to reimburse, give credit, even with cancelling by phone in the time frame required. This is after my band has used the place several times. They have lost my respect, they are not musician friendly; and although it's fairly clean, there are many many more rehearsal places around that are easier to deal with. STAY AWAY. read more

Not only do you get a fully mic'd kit that's tuned and sounds great, I was able to bring my iMac and record the session! I booked an hourly rehearsal here with my band pretty much sight unseen. It may not be the absolute cheapest hourly rehearsal spot in the Valley, but we will absolutely be back for the following reasons: secure facility, easy load in/out, attentive and responsive staff, EXCELLENT GEAR including a DW kit and class A tube amps, and really nice sounding and well-provisioned rooms. We didn't hear any bleed from outside (i.e. other bands) but then again we didn't go at an especially busy time. Bottom line: these guys are killing it. This is a pro spot with great features. Honestly one of the most organized rehearsal studios I've ever been at! It has easy access to playback as well as a great monitoring system! Will definitely be having some more rehearsals there. This is an amazing studio!!! Literally a hidden gem!! Incredible studio with amazing equipment, and a super friendly staff!!! The acoustics are better than ALOT of the studios I've rehearsed at, and they've got iPads, with personal monitors that you can individually adjust, very sanitary and Covid friendly, mics are delivered in sanitized bags and are sanitized after every use! This place was such a gem! Not only is the facility right in my back yard (so it's convenient located in North Hollywood for me) but it's the only affordable rehearsal place I've seen with high end gear, mics, and ability to use in ear monitors. We were in the small rehearsal room which was perfect for me and my 4 piece band. Noah and the rest of the staff were so nice to me and my band and super accommodating. I had a rather intricate set up that I needed in order to replicate my show. By our 2nd rehearsal, Noah had my input list printed out and got my gear set up how I needed. Most places just leave you on your own which takes up time and can be difficult. It was such a valuable experience for me to rehearse in a professional setting like that without having to break the bank. Definitely the best rehearsal space in the valley! Clean studio. Room 1 seemed pretty good. But then I found out I could not plug in my Mesa boogie tube amp into their cabinets as my amp is 8 Ohms. But I was told by a gentleman who I booked the room with they have Everything we need. So I left my speaker cabinet and my mic stand at home. Kiki said she is a sound engineer and did the math and said it might sound different but I should be fine and left the room. I tried my amp through their cabinet and I could not even get any gain at all. Just pure clean tone from a high quality pro amplifier. They also had no vertical mic stand! Also, they wanted my ID to have microphones in the room from them. I brought mine but needed two more. We also needed a DI box. The front desk person KiKi who told me she is a graduated sound engineer again who was basically nice but made it clear she does not do anything and it's all up to us to hook everything up and dial everything in. So as the band leader I'm running around servicing the rest of my band mates when I have my own equipment to get up and rolling. I finally had to go to her yet again and ask for help and to please dial us in on the vocals and set up. I was treated like it's a problem but we'll do it. It took 45 minutes to set up to play. I paid for 3 hours and basically the first hour was just trying to set up and make sense of the room. Then I found out they have only 3 floor monitor speakers and no actual room PA! In their biggest room. Her response was "we usually don't have loud rock bands in here" and laughed! read more

TERRIBLE customer service We are in medium tier for Covid during a surge. I had an appt booked for a two hour rehearsal fir 80 dollars. And another one for the 21. Once the band was formed the plan was to rehearse here all the time going forward. I cancelled at 130 pm the day before a 6 pm the next evening booking due to the guitarist being sick. I offered to book another session in advance. No go. Seriously ????!!!!! I was just told that I will still be charged the 80 dollars. I am waiting for a refund for the other date. While I appreciate a cancellation policy it wasn't the day of. We ARE STILL in a pandemic. I was simply asking for the courtesy to reschedule in case he had Covid and being responsible to not have anyone sick in the studio. They would not have been out any money. This was unfortunate as they would have had a long and profitable relationship with a new client just by being slightly flexible during a pandemic during a surge of cases. Go to AMP less than a mile away. They have a 24 hour cancellation and are much more accommodating. ESP during a pandemic !!! read more
