These guys do a really good burger- nothing over-the-top, just a thick patty on a not-too-sweet brioche bun, with any number of fixin's. Served wrapped alongside a pile of house-made potato chips, and this is a great meal. The burgers are pretty lean since they're beefalo, but don't take "lean" as meaning "dry." These generous patties are nicely griddled, and have that bison note that makes them taste, at least to me, even more "beefy." The specialty burgers are worth exploring- I tried the "Granville," with Provolone cheese, grilled onions, A1 sauce and ketchup served on a Brioche bun. It reminded me of my dad's doctored burgers from the backyard grill so many moons ago. Delicious. Nostalgic. These guys are on the move, so check out their next post-up- you won't be disappointed. https://streetfoodfinder.com/TwoHeifersBurgers

Will never plan to do business here ever again if you can't make a burger how can you expect to run a business

Unfortunately, this one didn't quite hit the mark. The space itself is nice--plenty of seating inside and out, a private room in the back, clean bathrooms and even a stage where live music was playing during our visit. But the food situation was confusing. They have a full kitchen and menu listed, yet when we arrived, they were only serving food from a BBQ food truck/side business. Not sure if it was a staffing issue, a special event, or just how they do things on certain days, but it definitely wasn't clear for someone just passing through. Beer-wise, they had a decent range of styles, but nothing really stood out flavor-wise. Everything was just... okay. Not bad, but not memorable. Service was similar--there seemed to be only one guy behind the bar running things while the rest were tied to the BBQ setup. He wasn't rude, just not super engaged. All in all, this place was fine, but nothing WOWed me. With a little more clarity on the food, a stronger beer lineup and more upbeat staff, it could be a much better stop for travelers passing through, or even the regulars.

Ordered the Quirk Cherry Blossom & Lime seltzer, burger and tots. The seltzer was very good, def hits more cherry and floral than lime. The burger was excellent and the tots crispy. The price point was a little high for me on the burger ($12) since it didn't come with anything. Tots were an additional $4. I get it, it's expensive to run a business. Overall, totally worth the stop and would come again.

"You been there?" I asked my buddies. Nope. "It's not just a convenience store, right?" Shrugs. It's Friday. It's July 1st. Why not celebrate the coming holiday with America's culinary gift to the planet: the triple cheeseburger. I called it in, the very polite lady on the phone took my order. "You want everything on that, baby?" Yes, ma'am. Kitchen sink. I'm on my way. Sam's is a place where everyone knows everyone. It's a grill, but it's also part of a community. And when I rolled in, I felt like part of it. I waited a while, because the day of the week and the month meant everyone was getting takeout. I had a great side chat with the other guys waiting, and watched them pay out all three burgers and grill them. First time here, I said. "Oh, you'll be back, baby. You sure you want slaw and chili?" Of course, I let them know that there is no other proper way to dress a burger, and they agreed. I brought my greasy brown paper bag of goodness (after grabbing my combo soda out of the cooler) back home. Everything was wrapped tightly in wax paper, and after hurriedly tearing it open, I was rewarded with just a classic Carolina burger, stacked high and falling over under its own mass. Not greasy, not gooey, just freaking delicious. The fries were wrapped in a little paper boat, crisp crinkles. This is another Oxford gem. Friendly, not fast, just great food. It's hidden in plain sight, and I'm not sure why people aren't crushing this place weekly.
