The cashier asked if I wanted to place a tip on my card, and I declined. When I received the none itemized receipt, it was $12.79 more, than my tally. I requested an itemized bill and received one you could barely see because the numbers were faded. I asked the cashier to check my numbers against the bill. When doing so, she still couldn't justify the difference after taxes, and 3.5% card fee. Also, shw wasn't sure if taxes were 7.5% either, but after adding it all in, she took my numbers and began refunding me in cash, which isn't the principal or was it okay. I left without understanding why, and with a clear itemized receipt. Folks, PLEASE START USING CASH. Merchants are taking advantage of us by charging 3.5% on top of taxes, not mention tips. The monthly fees they are charged for using a credit card machine very low, so imagine the incentives they gain, on top of increasing cost. The short of the story.
