Unfortunately it took a second for the worker to figure out what I kept saying I wanted to order, but she told me she didnt hear me. After ordering I noticed the people in front of me also waited a very long time for their order. I got my smoothie prior to them receiving their full order but at what cost. I payed $9 for a cup of frozen ice and frozen fruit balls. The texture of the smoothie was anything but smooth. Then as it thawed I started getting a thickened texture. I asked for no bananas and to sub strawberries but as soon as I tasted it I noticed a hint of banana. I could tell there were little balls of bananas in it and no signs of red or strawberries. I really wanted to like this place so Im giving 2 stars to be generous. I did not enjoy my first impression of Planet Smoothie. I wish I could have spent my money elsewhere and waited a few months for them to get through some of the training kinks, such as how to make a smoothie smooth or how to pick up the pace. Im not sure its worth going to with so many smoothie places in the Nola/Metairie area.

The lychee refresher tasted like a lychee and not artificial which is a plus. My daughter enjoyed the dubai waffle which was also pretty tasty for me. The turkey croffle was decent which just ultimately reminded me of a regular sandwich, but the Cocotella was pretty refreshing. No complaints with the service which there is someone always available. Overall, the biggest complaint for me is that it is pretty pricey which would deter me from coming often. It would definitely be a once in a while type of place to go for me, but hope they continue to have good business.

They even accepted my last minute request to add no peanuts to one of my orders without any complaints, which I really appreciated. The inside was a bit small, but the decorum was still clean and simple. There is available parking in the front and back, but it is a bit small. Now, on to what I ordered... For drinks, I got their 16 oz Pennywort Cane Drink with Ice ($7.25), 22 oz Kumquat Cane Drink without Ice ($7.25 + $2.00 with no ice = $9.25), & Smashed Durian Avocado Smoothie with Crystal Boba ($8.50). The drinks were so good! The sugar cane tasted really fresh and authentic. The smoothie was made with real durian which really enhanced the flavor. They have a machine that blends the actual sugarcane in front of you, so that's how you know it's made fresh. For food, I got their Rice Paper Rolls ($10.95) which consisted of Peanut, Egg, Green Mango, Dried Shrimp, Beef Jerky, Dried Onion, & Tamarind Sauce. It tasted really good especially with the sauce. I liked the texture of the rolls itself, as it has a balance of crunchiness and softness. Overall, I was highly satisfied with what I ordered. It got crowded really fast once we got there, but the customer service was still nice and patient even with the busy rush. I'd recommend trying out Mia & More if you're ever in the Metairie area!
