I feel like I need to start by saying that this is not a smoothie joint. There are no fresh fruits…read moreor veggies that they're blending into drinks. If your idea of nutrition is natural, whole foods, then this place isn't for you. They have protein shakes and energy drinks, which they call "teas" even though I'm pretty sure there is no tea in them. I regularly consume protein powder and caffeinated beverages, so this was a delicious treat. I've tried their cherry chocolate and lemon pound cake protein shakes, and they were both super tasty. There was a little chalkiness from the protein, but overall great flavor. I can't even tell you what kind of "tea" I tried because their flavors are always changing, but they were sweet and very easy to drink. Apparently there are no added sugars and the sweetness is from fruit juice, which I guess I believe, but I'm not sure how "starbursts" and "skittles" flavors can be added to the drink without any sugar or artificial sugar. I will say, besides the fact that it was almost questionably over-sweet, it didn't taste artificial or like sugar alcohols. The reason I docked this cute place a star is because the process of ordering and their menu is so confusing. I swear I talked to the employee (who was very nice) for half an hour and I'm still confused about some things. There is no menu and no prices anywhere. There is a list of protein shake flavors, but the employee had to verbally tell me the tea flavors which got very confusing when there are 6+ flavors and boosters in each tea. You also have to apparently order a tea and a shake? I understand that they complement each other, but I didn't feel like I had the option of only ordering one. Since there was no price associated with anything, I don't know if one drink is cheaper than the other. Also, I wish they were more transparent with what is in their drinks. Most healthy drink places have a menu with the drinks listed along with every ingredient in each drink. I have no idea how many calories are in each drink, just that there is 24g of protein in the shakes. I don't know what kinds of dairy products they're using in the shakes or what kinds of syrups they're using in the teas. All I'd need is a detailed menu with ingredients, calories, and prices and this place would be 5 stars for me!

I've been seeing these nutrition cafe's pop up everywhere near me, so I decided to give Brecksville…read moreNutrition a try. I was skeptical at first, knowing about the history of the brand Herbal Life, and how its proven to be a pyramid scheme/MLM. Along with this, the only information of these cafe's are on instagram, and the only actual information provided was the hours. Very confusing! I tried basically everything they had; coffee, tea, shakes, and "donut shots". As for the tea, I have to admit that it did give me lots of energy, and without that midday crash that other sources of caffeine can give. The flavor wasn't great, although I did take a liking to the blue razz flavor, which I later found out I could buy the SAME EXACT powder mix that they use in a box at Walgreens for $1. Brecksville Nutrition, however, charges $8 for this. Its also filled to the top with ice so you aren't really getting a good value. The shakes are nothing special either. There isnt really a taste to them, except for that crappy protein taste- I found the same with the coffee. Donut shots werent bad, although I doubt it actually achieved what it claimed to do. Their marketing techniques were clever, although I doubt they will last much longer at all. Some adolescents in their early 20s just posting on instagram and making their cafe "aesthetically pleasing" to teens is sure, enough to get people to stop in at first, but won't keep anyone hooked long enough to keep them in business much longer. Once people get over the initial craze of these so called nutrition cafe's, I can bet on the cold brew on the desk next to me that they will go out of business. I actually don't hate them, i'm just a highly opinionated teenager that likes to write long yelp reviews. Anyways, I think its unrealistic, overpriced, and just overrated in general. I think i'll stick with my $2 energy drinks from the gas station. overall i give it a solid 4/10. No hate lol.

I was excited to see a smoothie location in the area. I visited this location today, my first time…read moreas I wanted a PB and banana smoothie and I didn't want to drive to Fresh Healthy Cafe at Southpark Mall to get one. When I first walked in, I was greeted by a distinct, not so pleasant smell. I asked the clerk behind the counter if they had PB and banana smoothie. I was initially told no, but then the gentleman directed me to the menu and told me they have a Peanut Power Plus smoothie, which contains Bananas, Peanut Butter, Dates, Nonfat Milk and a Protein Blend. I told the worker that I did not want the dates or the protein powder and he said that it would be blended in and I wouldn't even taste it. They started making the smoothie and instead of peeling a fresh banana, they had what looked like pre-peeled bananas in this stainless steel container. They were scooping the very over ripe and mushy bananas from this container. Who knows how long they had been sitting in there. Had I seen that first I probably would not have ordered, but I felt bad canceling my order when they already started making it and it was paid for. When a smoothie was blended, it was so thick that the worker couldn't get it out of the blender canister. You needed a spoon to eat it and it tasted very gritty due to all the powder that was added in it. It was horrible and I ended up throwing half of it away. I was so disappointed. I will continue to drive out of my way to go to Fresh Healthy Cafe.

I feel like it is a bit overpriced but I understand that the cost of everything is going up. The fruit wasn't the best tasting probably since it's winter time and out of season. Staff was friendly.
