Flopped in to this place following a little amble out on t'Dales. Because we were pretending it was a nice day we sat outside, which although is on the street there's a nice wide pavement and the road you're on is not exactly busy. Seemed quite light and pleasant inside but was confused by the automatic lightswitch in the gent's that only turns on AFTER you've crossed the threshold in to the bleach-enriched darkness.
Notice the extra "o" in "Smoooth", it's not a typo. Despite the extra vowel, blended fruit still looks like one-too-many strawberry dacquiris while on shore leave to me, so I plumped for their "sarnie and soup of the day" deal; brie and caramalised onion and white onion and thyme respectively. Fresh and tasty and around £6 I think (or less) so a good deal, and the tea comes as a full pot rather than a mug. My better half did go for a smoothie and enjoyed it, or enjooyed it maybe, along with the cute selection of three quality breads she got with her own soup.
Nice place, very friendly. They also have a chiller cabinet with homemade hot meals in for you to reheat at home, so maybe good for anyone staying self catering nearby who doesn't want another bland rural Chinese?
Didn't see enough of the menu to give it a full 5 stars but definitely worth checking out. read more
