Stumbled upon this little gem at lunchtime today (06.07.12) during a downpour and couldn't have been made more welcome. It was quite busy for an out of the way eating place and there seemed to be a few locals in. Had a jacket potato (perfectly cooked) with houmous and quite small salad and hubby had cheesey beans on toast and a pot of tea which made two cups. I had a lovely cup of hot, freshly brewed coffee which was strong, just as I like it. Everywhere looked spotless; the one toilet was round the back of the building and it was large enough for a wheelchair (unisex/disbled access). Chickens running around outside seemed friendly enough but there is a sign saying that they do peck! There are items on sale also, (I bought a couple of grasses not priced but donations were asked for for a local hospice. read more
