I come in this store for two things... cigars and cigar lighters. Originally, I went to the Smoke…read moreShack because I had to send my Xikar Desktop Lighter back for repair. It typically takes about four weeks to get it back in the mail so I knew I'd be w/o my love for a while. I wanted a cheap lighter that I could refuel and Emerson's (my go to) wanted $60+ bucks. Well, I didn't need another Xikar, just something to get me by... and here sat this little gem on Independence. The first few times I went in for just a lighter (first time for me, second time for my husband), I expected to spend about $25. Nope, these guys had little double flame pocket lighters for $15. Score! The next few times I went in I actually checked out the humidor... I didn't expect them to have too much, despite the size, but they did. Fuente Exquisitos of $2.65 (same as Emerson's), Casa Magna Pekitos, which are crazy rare, not too many people even carry that size ($4), and most phenomenally... dirt cheap ass Padron's! Say what!!! Yes my friend, $10.25 for a Padron '64. I thought it was a damn typo. Now, I don't recall how much they are at Emerson's, but I do know that I pay $11 for the '26 Principe. As for things that help but don't really matter since their cigars & accessories kick ass, lol. The people who work there are cool as hell... they're just chill people. So yeah, if you're a stogie lover, you're probably buying most of your stuff online and at Emerson's, both of which are great places to buy, but I definitely recommend checking out the Smoke Shack because they have great prices too, and you may find a few sticks that they don't have other tobacco spots in the Hampton Roads area.

Their prices are average to high but I still go out of my way to buy my vapes here because they carry the flavor and brand I prefer. Not just once, they restock it regularly. I do not gamble on video casino games. I do not stand around filling out multiple lotto tickets. However, I have been coming to this location since 2010. Only because that for awhile, they used to carry other types of food and drink products I liked. But not anymore it would seem. They used to have a showcase where they had cheese for sale. I always thought that was strange. I used to be quite partial to the different flavors of Nemo cakes and the Sobe tsunamis. However, Sobe went out of business and this shop doesn't want to offer nemo's anymore. Sometimes, I like to get a YooHoo! or a piece of candy, but good luck finding something in-date! Everyone behind the counter stands on a platform that makes it seem like they only hire seven-footers. I think it's to make all the customers feel small. And as a "clean" kinda guy, I must say in my own personal opinion: it stinks to high-heaven in there! You can seriously smell it from across the street. I don't understand the appeal of those types of things. The humidor seems creepy. All the bongs near the ceiling are lame.
