What a wonderful surprise for such a small town. We were welcomed immediately by the friendly wait staff. The menu has many awesome choices at reasonable prices. We chose the buffet (Friday and Saturday nights). It happened to be Mexican dishes including a taco bar. It was very tasty. The churros were awesome. The restaurant seating is a large space and could be elegant if the owner wanted it be. It's great the way it is. Thank you for good food, good service and adequate prices. We were visiting fir a family event and found this place--and loved it! Server Jackie was warm and efficient, food was hot and made exactly to order. Service was very good, waitress was very attentive and helpful. I needed gluten free options and our sweet waitress wasn't sure about that. To play it safe I ordered their Barbies salad with cranberries, pecans, grilled chicken and strawberry dressing... my husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. The diner smelled so nice but I was a little disappointed in my meal. Chicken sandwich tasted a little odd and had a very strange wrap it was wrapped in. steak that looks like it was sold out of the side of a truck. Not good at all. When you have a captive audience you can serve dogshit and the people will love it... and The Smokehouse is no exception. If the food isnt overcooked its tasteless and bland...or all 3. I dont think the cooks give a damn about serving good food (small town what can you expect?) I pass through Perryton a lot and have tried many items on the menu. Being walking distance from the hotel makes it convenient but nothing else. Nothing but disappointment every time. Burgers, cooked so well they're hockey pucks. Steaks...cooks dont know the difference between m-rare and well done. Burn it n serve it seems to be the motto. Cooks pumping out over cooked food (dinner) every time and the owner is too drunk to care. Breakfast...meh. Greasy sausage n eggs and 1 hour old dry toast. Mexican food, go down the street to the "real" mexican restaurant. I dont mind paying good money for a good meal. This place is overrated in every way. Pass. Go to Sonic. read more

Potato was the smallest ever served with a ribeye. The steak I would give a satisfied rating. I was never informed that the salad was at the salad bar 75 yards away until I asked where my salad was as the food arrived. Overall at the end I was just angry as I received the bill. Do not eat here. I know there are not many choices in this area but trust me find something else. We ordered the rib-eye sandwich for $12 and it was like the steak from a lean cuisine only worse. Friendly smiles greet you as you enter to seat yourself. A choice of a full buffet or ordering from the menu won't disappoint! I had the Jaxten Tacos and loved every bite! They were served with a chili verde sauce that had a good kick. My husband ordered the combo fajitas...the aroma was amazing and he said they tasted better than they smelled. The price is right for a burger and fries. The rest of the menu is good as well. They do need to learn what a club sandwich is and if you are a club aficionado I would not recommend even trying to order one. They do have a smoking section as well as a separate non-smoking section. I would recommend this for a affordable quick bite to eat. read more

Clean and family oriented, everything good from breakfast through evening meal. Sunday buffet is good at noon every day, and on Friday evenings. One of the few restaurants with a smoking section, and meeting rooms available by appointment. Smokehouse Restaurant also caters, and will fix up a room for special occasions. Family owned for many years. Did I mention, I've never had a bad dish? Food is good always. And this establishment supports TNM. read more

My father eats here about every evening. Staff is excellent and usually greats him with his favorite drink. Always friendly and great service. Wide selection of food for the area. Buffet is a good choice when it is available. read more
