The exceptional mix of fertilizers perk up flowering annuals, perennials, house plants, grasses, trees and bushes and edible garden plants. Their time-tested and perfected fertilizers and soil mixtures have been developed for any gardener's needs. Special orders-they go overboard to accommodate. At first, I dreaded a long drive, but I timed it. Huttos is a mere 20 minutes away from the Madison exit-interstate all the way to Ellis Avenue. Living in Clinton for 15 years, Huttos was the same distance from my 3 houses. Mr. Hutto insists that the staff takes all purchases-no matter how large or small, to your vehicle. All of my larger plants are carefully loaded up and seed to have no damages until the destination is reached. For many, many years and 4 yards that started from builder's dirt to lovely, lush gardens, I will not go to any other garden center. House plants actually flourish!! Huttos has a wide range of plants to choose from. 6-pack flats of seasonal perennials, annuls and plants such as tomatoes, squash, beans, etc. are low-priced. We needed to get her front porch decorated before I left to come back to Texas. This place has nice, healthy looking, live Christmas trees, wreaths and garland outside in the front and inside is like a Christmas wonderland. They sell high quality patio furniture and they had all their sets decorated with Christmas pillows. They had the artificial trees inside as well, beautifully decorated in themes so there was something for every taste. There is also an employee at a table that hand makes this fabulous, big bows for larger than life outdoor decor and she will custom make garland and wreaths for you. If you want a one of a kind entryway decor this is the place to come.

I go here quite often for farm and garden supplies. They owners are very nice and really helpful…read more They have lots of greenhouses to look through and they are usually full of flowers, vegetables, and fruit trees every time I go. They also offer mulch for gardens and flowerbeds in bags and in bulk. Nice place if you are in the area. The only downfall is the location. Unless you live in the area then it is a bit of a drive from Monticello. Maybe 20 minutes or so.
