Instead of calling around and getting comps for each specialty, I decided on hiring a handyman who could (hopefully) do it all. I found Ethon via Yelp after he responded to my quote request in less than 15 minutes. I called him right away and he offered to do a walkthrough the next day in order to get me a quote ASAP. When he arrived at the house, he was professional, polite, and friendly, like a brother who happens to know his way around the house. No more than 48 hours went by before he messaged me his quote. It took a couple of visits before he completed all of the jobs we negotiated due to the electrical issue that needed some serious troubleshooting, but Ethon was happy to come back until the job was completed to his liking. We love the results. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience. Not only was the paint professional and our lighting fixed, but I feel like we also made a friend out of this. Sentry was a company I had heard of but never had any business with so I wasn't sure what to expect because I knew they'd be busy, as we were obviously not the only people affected by the storm. Not to mention, I live about an hour from Norman where they're based out of. Blake answered the phone and surely heard the desperation in my voice (can't sell a tornado damaged home!). He had one of his foreman at my house THAT DAY to assess the damage and estimate what it would take to repair. Very quick and very responsive. Here's where Blake separated himself from the other contractors I spoke with... after insurance had their inspector come out they tried skimping out on us big time. I was given a laughable report! 40 shingles, 12 sq ft of siding, yada yada.. I'm no roofing expert but from the ground with the naked eye I knew that wasn't accurate. Blake was completely honest and transparent from the get go. He assured me I needed a complete roof replacement (which I had already thought myself) and that there was much more damage that needed addressing. A thorough professional in my eyes. He took it upon himself to help deal with the insurance company and get another inspection done with his guidance.
