There are abandoned, vacant trailers scattered throughout the park and offer little to nothing to do for the kids that live there. Growing up there was a solid group of about 20 kids that lived there from the early 80s into the late 90s. They all played together, utilized the retention pond for kickball and baseball games, played basketball at various neighbors driveways, hide and go seek, had shortcuts through yards and got along great. Those are faded memories to what it is today... As they got older in their teens, the owner's family would harass them for walking around past 8pm, try to enforce made up curfews, and were overly pushy and rude to this teenage group of kids. With things to do dwindling down and enforcing ever changing rules to adapt to what suited the owner's family best, it became a nightmare for those kids who once ran the streets and yards to at that point getting harrassed for sitting in each other's driveway at night. Take a drive around there and see the conditions of the roads, trailers, and ask anyone you see out there for feedback. They'll tell you. It isn't some "Gem" like quoted on their page. With the exception of a few lots that do the upkeep on their rented space the whole park needs a LOT of work. It's really a shame. The potential of the area, the land it sits on, the neighborhood layout hold vast room for improvement. If they had invested in the place that over 100 families call home and pay ample lot rent the park could maybe have some basic things you would expect- Nice Roads, Lawn Service available, help for older residents, places for the kids to play, replacement trailers for all the run down old abandoned units with new rentals and then more revenue. Instead they make sure they drive new vehicles and live in the nicer units. Best thing my family and I ever did was move out of there, and it is a shame because when we moved in it truly was a great place to live. They should really be ashamed of the condition it is in today. It is not only in horrible shape overall but it used to go against what people think of when they use the stereotype "Trailer park" now it is the epitome of the words. Take this advice- Don't Bother, and if you live there do whatever you can to move. The grass IS greener on the other side of the fence.

Hopefully, New Owners are Equity owners and not developers…read more Have some friends that still live there In 2017 - 2 months to the day almost - Had a breakin' in the middle of the night and sexually assaulted, with the park having security! I was sexually assaulted there 2 months after attending an Oak Lawn Trustee meeting that took place in 2017 due to all the crimes and incidents. I know it was " in retaliation " for me talking up ways to make this community safe again and trying to bring the City and The mobile park together in unity. From which side, the retaliation came from (Alex or Mike) who knows, but my risk management experience and advise helped both sides. Although, both sides were very uninsightful and just too egotistical to realized that at the time! If I told you details, you would never believe me..But one or both sides Used violence to retailate shut up a women with good risk mgmt. advise and such advise was taken my Airways' old owners (i.e. combining a safety meeting with a picnic to incentify / market safety, so its fun). Yep, it was my idea and saved the park for a while with the city. Yep, some body was too dumb, impulsive and had no pulse on the future/ with the "win at all costs corruption" boss man frame of mind forgetting that the women assaulted, had a child 8 years old child in the next room and the police refused to ever investigate with the evidence the hospital gave them..The retaliatory party didn't care about traumatizing me or my child and we were just collateral damage in a property war with the mobile park and the city...classless, but God was there for us.
