We tried this " resort" out for the first time and we wouldn't go back. We booked a site right on…read morethe lake and were stuffed back between two large RV's. We read where it said " Campsites are not guaranteed" but when we arrived, the campsite we booked was still open.We could understand if the policy was utilized because something happened to the site, but it seems they leave it open as a bait and switch .Later in the day, someone with a huge RV was put in our original campsite. We weren't there more than a half an hour when a domestic broke out and the F-bomb and screaming started right in front of their toddlers. It was like being in a " red neck trailer park! " If they won't give you the site you want and book, that option should be eliminated on their website and it should say " We will put you in a site we feel like putting you in." But of course that won't happen, they leave the good sites open to lure you in then put you way far from the lake. We were very disappointed in this "trailer park."

This place is a dump! Where to start. Garbage not picked up…read morefrom week before we were there. No hot water, holes in windows ( we had to stuff with plastic bags ), fuse kept blowing, 3 season porch was on a downward slant, outlets had no covers, no locks on bathroom door, mold in basement, water leaking in bathroom, toilet leaking, had to ask for water to be turned on in fish house, didn't empty fish guts for days, no one ever ther to attend, No place to park and etc. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!

Have pity on the owner who apparently is in way over his head. Friendly gentleman without any idea of how to run or update or clean a resort.

My parents and I stayed at Midway Beach in August 2011. We will never go back!!! One or more of…read moretheir staff (workers) have STICKY FINGERS. We came back from an afternoon of fishing and my mother's suitcase and jewlery case had been gone through and she was missing $100.00 out of her purse. My purse was also gone through and I am missing $200.00. The cabin was locked and also the windows were closed and locked when we left. We have been calling the local Sheriff and are being told there is nothing they are able to do. We have called Annie the resort management and she will not answer or return our calls. Also the swimming area is so full of seaweed and was green you couldn't swim. The cabin was small and I had to move my bed to shut the door, and you had to side shuffle to get around the bed. Very bad experience at Midway Beach Resort.
