I worked at a vet throughout college so…read moream pretty critical of vet clinics and customer service to be honest... but this place exceeds expectations. I will tell you why. It started back in 2001 when my family got our first family dog, a shiba inu. We kenneled him a couple times, and annual visits, but I swear to you, the techs and receptionists remembered my dog every time we were there. I remember dropping him off before a vaca and they all ran up and said "kieffer is back!". this dog was not an angel by any means so maybe they were just being nice lol! Kieffer had a brain tumor and had to be put down unexpectedly and the staff was supportive. Fast forward to 2015, I move back from college to U-City and decide to return to Tri-City animal hospital. Well worth the 40 minute drive!! The staff is all dressed appropriately in branded scrubs (my old vet let the receptionists wear casual clothes and I didn't think it looked professional) Our appt was w/ Dr. King. She was soo friendly and knowledgeable. My questions were answered thoroughly. My dog is blind and can sometimes get scared, she was giving him tickles the entire time and he effing loved it. He was diagnosed (again) with mast cell tumor. The first time at his old vet, I got little info, they just removed it and sent me on my way. Here at tri-city, I got a printed hand-out discussing the disease. She explained the prognosis, complications, etc. They scheduled the surgery asap (despite it being non-life threatening). Dropped him off, got the phone call updating me on his status, got more info when I picked him up. They also have email coupons and specials! As well as advertised rebates and discounts. Most vet offices have the frontline rebates and stuff like that, but just don't make it readily available unless you ask. Judging by the level of professionalism at the clinic, I assumed I would be paying off this surgery forever, but honestly it was very reasonably priced. *****5/5 stars. We've had Dr. Hodes for my Doberman, who eventually died after twelve years. The staff were so kind and accommodating when we had to let her go. Our Dobie was in such pain that she could not walk or function any longer. The staff took such great care with us, allowing time for our grief. A couple years later, we adopted a mini-Schnauzer mix. Dr. Hodes was there for us again when our little Toby was diagnosed with pancreatitis. She guides and offers suggestions when I am stressed about his condition. Because of Dr. Hodes, Toby just turned seven! Hiroko, who is the groomer, is outstanding. She handles Toby with authority, grace, and professionalism. Schnauzers can be quite rambunctious! Hiroko grooms him in the traditional Schnauzer cut, which is not easy as this little legs and head keep moving. Overall, I highly recommend County Animal Hospital. Top notch all the way.

I can not thank them enough. Every visit we had there was pleasant, timely, and made me feel like my girl was truly cared for. On my girls last day, they offered her serenity, plenty of sweet treats, and a comfy & peaceful send off to the rainbow bridge. Thank you County Animal Hospital for the compassion you showed Olivia and I on each visit. The keepsakes provided along with my girls remains make me absolutely come apart with happy tears because of how thoughtful and lovely they are. It may be a bit pricey, but their compassion and genuine love for each animal is apparent as soon as you walk in the door... and it's worth every single penny.

However, they proceeded to upsell me on other medical procedures which caused them to cancel the primary service and required my consent again to proceed. I was not told this when I was upsold. Reality should match expectations and you do this by informing the customer. I was not. I'm taking my pet to the Animal Medical Center (humane society) instead.
