In my opinion , this is the best pediatric dentist place in the whole SCV! My daughter just went through a dental procedure, and they did such an amazing job! Dr. Chen along with his assistant were so thorough and gentle with my daughter. They knew exactly how to take care of what needed to be done. My daughter is six years old, and had a great experience here, and she doesn't mind going back next time. I've been bringing the rest of my kids for years since they were little (now teenagers), and are very satisfied with their service and the whole place. Such a beautiful and clean facility!

We absolutely LOVE Smiles Seal! Dr Angela and Dr John are so incredibly patient and caring for each of kiddos. They take their time explaining any found cavities and if they need treated right away or if they can just be monitored. If treatment is needed, we absolutely adore Mr Rickie who has the magical touch making the kids feel calm and comfortable the entire time durning treatment, to picking up their own flavored nitrous, kids show/movie and even a weighted blanket for those with sensory issues or just feeling a little extra nervous. And let's not forget all of the incredible dental hygienist! These ladies also have the magical touch making any nervous kiddos calm. From explaining the instruments and how they work, fun toothpaste flavors and of course a kids show or movie! I'd give them 10 stars if I could, I just love this team! read more

Big props to Brittney, Miss Ping and Dr John. My kiddo is a bit of a struggle with x-rays when it comes to posterior ones, he get a tad gaggy. They attempted sealants on his molars today even after the x-ray struggle. The brave team ! It was a success. The girls were so kind. I really appreciate all their efforts. Kiddo left saying thank you. The shirt they gave him was such a nice send off as well. read more

In my opinion , this is the best pediatric dentist place in the whole SCV! My daughter just went through a dental procedure, and they did such an amazing job! Dr. Chen along with his assistant were so thorough and gentle with my daughter. They knew exactly how to take care of what needed to be done. I've been waiting close to a month for them to receive my insurances approval for white fillings. I thought silvers were no longer being used, in no way shape or form would I have my son walking around with silver teeth or embarrassing visible silver fillings. I understand they have to give you options based on pricing but now I'm sitting waiting 4+ weeks for an approval. They didn't submit the original request correct and only sent for an approval for the gas. Why would you only send an approval for that service and not everything? Interesting enough, they try and bill you right there for everything and they tell you they'll send you back whatever is over payment after they've billed your insurance and re-cooped from them. What is the point of insurance if you are making me pay out of pocket?! Then to schedule appointments for the future , they require $100 deposit! In my 43 years of life I've never had to wait like this for any professional service to get services approved and completed. I have amazing insurance so this is a really bad experience thus far. I've had to follow up with them now than once. Each time getting told we were waiting.. They aren't following up with me at all. So even if they do have the approval , you will clearly have to stay on top of them because it's giving they're too busy for customer service. The dentist himself, very nice guy. read more

I have been taking my children to Smiling Seal for many years. My youngest was very scared during her first visit here, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming that she warmed up quickly. The colorful walls decorated with sea animals and television at each station playing favorite kid movies also made my daughter feel at home. The dentists are professional and knowledgeable. We had our first visit today and it was absolutely amazing. The waiting room has a mini arcade, a coloring station, tvs for the kids, with such beautiful and fun details. It really is one of a kind. It is very kid friendly and makes the little ones feel comfortable as they wait. While they had more than one cavity, they've always been cooperative and calm at the dentist. Because of that, we declined laughing gas, something this office routinely suggests as neither child was anxious or fearful. During my 10-year-old's procedure, Dr. Grant even told his assistant near the end to turn off the laughing gas, only to be reminded that my daughter was never on it. He stated he assumed she was because she was so quiet. The office was extremely busy that day. Although we were the second family to arrive before they reopened after lunch at 2:00 pm, it took a long time to be seen. It appeared Dr. Grant was the only dentist handling multiple patients at once, and both of my daughters' procedures felt rushed because of it. As a result, both girls experienced significant pain during their fillings, especially in their gums surrounding the treated teeth. They described intense pressure throughout the procedures. They are now both in pain afterward. Most concerning, my 14-year-old has visible dark bruising at the corner of her mouth from the pressure used, which is not normal for a routine filling. This experience has left both of my children uncomfortable and shaken, which is exactly what a pediatric dental office should be working to prevent. My daughters have never been traumatized by dental visits before, but after today, I will not be bringing them back to this office. I expected better care, attentiveness, and gentleness from a practice that specializes in treating children.

They talked to my kids kindly (who are very talkative), they explained everything in a way that really made the experience for my kids memorable in a good way and also explained to me what they were doing and about dental care extremely well. They also did everything in a timely manner without having it be rushed. If I could rate this place higher, I would. A bonus was that the office was nice and spacious, extremely clean, and they also had a comfortable waiting area with a kid-friendly show playing. I do not foresee myself changing my kids' dentist again.

Not sure why parents would take their kids to this place. Horrible experience. We waited patiently for our appointment time at 11:00 but after 2 hours later, we were seen by the doctor. The staff claimed they were running behind schedule when clearly they were celebrating someone's birthday in the back having cake. Even the staff had offered me a piece of cake when my child have not eaten the night before. Not only I was not informed work/treatment needed to be done on my child, the doctor decided to make decision on his own and pulled my son's teeth out. After it was all done, he sends one of the nurses out to informed me his teeth were pulled. Until this day, I still have nightmare and every time I see my son's missing teeth, I feel horrible and I have actually contacted a lawyer regarding this matter. Never again! read more

All around amazing. We use to go to Dentistry for kids and adults on Newhall Ranch Road and bouquet. After their change of ownership of the place has completely tanked and the quality of work has gone down below the dirt. However this new dentists that we found for our kids is amazing! Our kids are excited once again to go to the dentist. They were able to squeeze my son in for an emergency tooth extraction. That had all started from the previous dentist causing a bone infection due to a botched baby root canal. The smiling seal dentistry is as good as it gets and sets the bar Stop looking around for a great dentist for your kids this place is it and cannot be topped. Everyone is great. Dr. Angela has been my children's dentist for over 10 years, and I couldn't be more grateful for the care she and her team provide. She first treated my son when he was just 3 years old and needed a surgical procedure -- she made the experience as smooth and comforting as possible for both him and me. Since then, every visit has been filled with kindness, patience, and genuine concern for my kids' well-being. My 2 1/2 year old son felt instantly comfortable when coming here for his first dentist appointment. He loved it. Louis was so wonderful and put him at ease very quickly. Everything is bright and colorful throughout the whole office and there is definitely a fun feeling right when you walk in. Louis made everything a game the whole time and I loved how he talked to my son and talked him through every step of the way. He showed my son every instrument and let him work them himself and gave him little prizes along the way to make him feel accomplished. I could not have wished for a better experience. Office decor is well decorated for young children; however, prices for more basic fillings are significantly more expensive than numerous other dentist offices. Office hours are flexible, but the young dentist restricts and regularly reduces hours even for basic procedures. Additionally, was provided significant inaccurate information about the age at which children begin loosing baby teeth in motivation to fill a tooth to soon within months be replaced by a permanent tooth. read more

I'm not one to write reviews but my kids have been coming here for 10+. I found this gem when they were 2 years old and all it took was one visit for me to know this was going to be there dentist. All the staff here are amazing that they always make sure that my kids are comfortable, thankfully there not scared of coming to the dentist because of how well they have took care of them.
