Indeed I had a gnarly cavity and infection. She took me in even though I never visited before and she made a very painful and excruciating time for me as easy as possible. One small thing she does that really helps is that she always asks if something she does hurts. Its a small gesture l, but to someone whose always been afraid of the dentist it means the world. Its thanks to her that Im not so afraid of the Dentist now. I wish I could comment on price but Ive got insurance through Delta Dental. But Id definetly give her a shot as she is definetly the best in San Fernando. She's moved into a new place, and although it doesnt look like much from the outside, the inside is pretty comfortable.

The girl/staff over the phone took a total of 7 minutes to rush the hell out of me wanting to make an appointment. I work a fulltime job, not a new thing in this world for people to have a job, so yes I am going to ask about any time i can squeeze into during the week. Mind you I'm having separate health issues so I am trying to fit in this appointment on top of other serious things and comply with my job. I asked if there was a later time in the afternoon due to work and suddenly I'm being told "well we do have earlier days but since you're asking for a later time you'll need to wait." and it was a constant cycle of repeating that any time i asked for different times. Their staff does an excellent job dealing with insurance companies and are very pleasant to deal with in person or on the phone. Dr. Riley is very concerned that his patients do not experience pain, so he goes to great lengths to make sure my visit is not unpleasant. He also seems to be very conscientious about doing the job right. Historically, I have been notorious for putting off my visits to the dentist, but now I have no hesitation to make an appointment.

I felt completely disrespected as a patient, and her attitude was, in my experience, completely inappropriate for someone entrusted with patient care. I complained to Atalla Medical Group and was equally disappointed by how little my concerns appeared to matter. I will be taking this matter to the appropriate authorities, including the Medical Board of California. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise patients to think carefully before choosing this provider.

Reading these other reviews, I understand what most of them are talking BUT you have to look at the bigger picture. #1. All Dentists are expensive, but I like to think "you get what you pay for." Dr. Naffas is a highly experienced doctor and knows what he is doing. As for the prices, if you are open and honest with them about your financial situations, they will do their best to try and find an alternative solution. If it can't be met, they accept Care Credit. If you don't understand how insurance & coverage works, it's easy to put blame on the facility. But always double check with your insurance and the cost & ASK QUESTIONS. #2. The hygienist there is beyond patient. He recognizes anxiety and bares with you and explains EVERYTHING in detail until YOU'RE ready. Super nice and super patient. Their staff is always very friendly. I recently had a rare allergic reaction to a common medicine that puzzled everyone and I need a lot of work done, they went above and beyond to find me a long term treatment solution to avoid any risks. This experience had completely changed my mind about them and showed just how much they care for their patients. I trust Dr. Naffas and the Hygienist (I forget his name) completely. The only reason I rate them a 4 star is because, I wish they offered Saturday appointments.
