Wow, have to find a new dentist!…read more So I've had a couple of great experiences here. Dr Ove is gentle and doesn't yell at me for drinking tea and red wine. I was way overdue for a check up so I phoned to see if I could get in with him. They said they don't take appointments but he'd be there between 2-5:00 on a certain day. I got there right before 2 and when I checked in, they said it would be well over an hour before he could see me. So that isn't going to cut it as a "lunch break" out of the office. Unfortunately, since I have to be at work almost all the hours they're open, this place is an utter fail for me. I can't believe they won't take appointments for dental check ups, it's completely ridiculous!

The reception and treatment areas were modern and clean and the dentist I saw was gentle when they examined my teeth and gave me some good general teeth and gum care advice. However parking there is cheap at £1 for up to 4 hours, instead of pay and display right outside the dentist, which is about 3 times that price! They usually can give you an appointment within a few days so thats really good.

The good parts: * All the staff here are friendly and helpful. * I never had any difficulty booking appointments. * They charge NHS prices, so it is very reasonable. * Back in 2009, Southwark council allowed anyone who had not visited the dentist for more than 2 years a free check up, then free treatments if they found anything wrong. Both my flatmates and I took advantage of the offer. :) The only downside is the practice is very small, with just two operating rooms and a tiny, tiny waiting room. For this reason, I am unsure if they accept patients from further afield. Extra useful information: This doesn't seem to be on the right place on the yelp map! If you come out of Rotherhithe station, cross the road, turn left and wander up Brunel road. The dentist is the last house on the right (as Brunel Road curves around the corner)
