After almost 4 years of pure dental hell-so many oral surgeries, I've lost count. Over and over…read moredental implants and bone grafts that kept failing and getting infected. Tens of thousands of dollars spent. So much pain that I've cried in despair thinking it would never get better. The emotional and physical trauma of it all. I had no choice because over a lifetime of grinding my teeth so that all the nerves were painfully exposed (I couldn't even drink a sip of cold water without near screaming pain), I finally as of today have a successful full mouth of permanent dental implants that look beautiful. Tonight, for the first time in about 30 years, I ate a meal like a normal person WITHOUT pain! If you're ever considering dental implants, know that they aren't as simple as the marketing suggests. There can be complications though not always. Be prepared for what might not be so simple. All in all, despite the trauma, expense, and pain, I'm happy with the ultimate outcome. The first visit,…read morethey said i had cavities that needed filled...ok...so I got them filled the same day....and they weren't filled smoothly!! I had to come back to get the filling smoothed out because they left a ridge and it was bothering my mouth!! they also said i needed MI paste (for $30 from them when online it's ~$15)....ok...so i got that as well not knowing it was something I could get outside of the office I had to come back in for deep cleaning. When i got there however and went through the process, the "deep cleaning" didn't seem like a deep cleaning at all. The initial cleaning the first day seemed more thorough and hurt longer. They did all four quadrants in one session, no novicaine (which if you've had a deep cleaning before...it HURTS.....I needed the nitrous oxide the last time I had one.....and it hurt for multiple weeks after as well when I went before). One of my friends that also has had deep cleanings also said that they're painful and hurt for days afterwards. This one instead didn't hurt except when i was poked a few times, and i was fine to eat/etc right afterwards. While getting the deep cleaning the hygenist (because I never saw the dentist except for the fillings when in the past I saw them for deep cleanings as well) said that my mouth was much better and that she thought the pockets (the reason for the deep cleaning) were probably false pockets, that my mouth was much better than the previous month, that I probably didn't need the deep cleaning and that no antibiotic would be needed...maybe if I came in next time I would need them. So I got a deep cleaning that I may not have needed, didn't feel like a deep cleaning, and set me back $900....in about an hour (they also usually take longer) Poor experiences multiple times... oh--and never met Carl.

He promised me a good outcome but instead I experienced a nightmare. He told me my veneers would be done in two weeks and it took five weeks (and it was around the holidays). Finally I just let the veneers stay off; it was embarrassing and upsetting, but I couldn't eat with them in anyway. When I finally had the teeth installed they were too dark but I allowed them to be put in because it was just before Christmas and I couldn't bear it any longer. So now three of my four front teeth are darker than the rest. I tried to live with them but am sooo unhappy with my smile; when I went back for my next cleaning he promised me he'd give me his time for free, and the lab would redo them at half price. But when I was given the quote it was only slightly less than the original cost. Also, I had saved some cash way-back-when and used it to get a reduced price. I gave the cash to the office on a Tuesday and on a Friday they called saying they were $500 short. Unbelievable. This is by far the worst experience I ever had with a dentist (and his staff). I will never go back there. I just started with a new dentist, and one of the staff told me her mother had a terrible experience at this dentist, and she herself worked there for a period of time and it was not a good experience. Beware. This guy is about the money not about customer care.
