I cannot say enough great things about Kristin! She shot our wedding on 9/26/21 at the Chapel of Orange. My now husband and I are super awkward when it comes to taking posed photos but she made us feel comfortable and had us laughing so we were genuinely smiling which is something I was worried about. She dealt with all of the different personalities of our wedding party and guests so well. We sent a list of all of the moments and groupings we wanted her to capture, which was really long given the short time you have during a wedding, but she checked all of the boxes and then some. She captured some amazing shots and some were things I didn't even think I would want but I am so thankful she got them. I cannot recommend Smetona Photography enough! They canceled on us 2 weeks before our wedding so they could go on vacation. I would post 0 stars if I could. Our experience with the Smetona's was dreadful, unprofessional and terrible. I am happy to share the email exchange between Kristin and I as well as any other information that a potential client would like. We hired the Smetona's and signed a contract in January 2015 for a September 2015 wedding. It was pretty quiet from January up until August, when they requested full payment. We paid them in full and they confirmed that both Dustin and Kristin would be shooting our wedding. Less than one week after we paid them, they called and said they wanted to go on a vacation to Iowa during our wedding and asked if they could sub-contract out the shooting to another photography business. We asked that they either do the wedding, as was agreed upon in the contract, or give us a refund of $1,000 and sub-contract it out to the other business. They replied and requested we terminate the contract and find a new photographer...this is 2 weeks before our wedding!! Anyway, they are out of the picture and we do not have a photographer, but are looking. Shame on them. Anyway, this is what you can expect if you work with the Smetona's. Expect a bait & switch. Expect to be lied to. And expect to be without a photographer. Again, I will share all correspondence between the Smetona's and I. Weddings are stressful, do yourself a favor and stay away from these clowns. read more

We met with Kristin while looking for a photographer for our wedding as we liked her work. Came off a bit snobby, but we weren't looking for a friend, just a vendor. We were almost sold until she told us that her and her husband REQUIRE, contractually, to let them have a dance at our wedding. So while we pay her a large amount of money to be capturing OUR moments, and working for the money we pay her, we would be required to let her dance? Get outta here!!!! What can I say, I loved doing a boudoir photo shoot with Kristin! First, I was kind of in a rush since my anniversary was only a month away from when I contacted Kristin, but she was able to fit me in and made sure I had my photos in time for our anniversary day, a big plus! Second, I am semi self conscious about my body (mostly the tummy area which I think a lot of woman can relate to) so I was a little unsure if I would follow through with the shoot. But Kristin is so sweet and made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend getting her package that includes champagne, aka liquid courage! Not that it was really necessary but it made the whole experience so much fun. The pictures all came out so good, and normally I do not like pictures of myself. I decided I wanted boudoir photos done for my anniversary. I went with a friend, met a photog at a dumpy motel and felt like I was at a nasty movie shoot. I lost the money I paid, left before shooting and felt discouraged...until I found Kristin!
