So we walked in at 9:15 this morning & waited less than 10 minutes. Taylor was amazing. She really kept my toddlers attention and let him touch the clippers before she started with his hair. Being from Houston, Texas paying $45 for a pedicure, I expected so much more than I actually received. In Houston, I can get a very high quality pedicure for just under $40 which would include hot wax, hot towels on your legs and a hot stone massage. In Houston the nail salon also uses disposable liners in their tubs and new nail utensils for every client making it very clean with no worries of infections. Design Hair Studio in Ponca City, OK charges $45 for a pedicure and all you get is an extremely basic pedicure. No hot wax, no hot towel, no stone massage, no mud wrap, etc. No liner in the tub and I believe they could use a new set of nail clippers. While the place is very clean and the girl that gave me the pedicure was really nice, I believe they are over-charging for their pedicures. I will be doing more research to find the perfect place for a pedicure at the right price.
