After reading the previous review, I thought I should write my experiences with the owner of 612…read moreSalon...I have been getting my haircut for almost 4 years before she opened her own salon, and I LOVE the way she cuts my hair! I have long curly hair and have found that not everyone can layer long curly hair without leaving pom poms on the side of my head and I was paying $50 - $80 for a haircut. My friend referred me to her 4 years ago and I have been getting my haircut from her ever since. I am thrilled that she opened her own salon, it's beautiful and I believe her prices are too low. I recently took my mother, who had been letting her hair grow for several years, to get a new hairstyle and she gave her a wonderful short razor cut which makes her look 10 years younger! If anyone is looking for a great haircut for a great price, I would definitely recommend 612 Salon.

I am not sure if I will be able to properly express what a horrible experience I had at this…read more"salon". It has only been open since March and if many other customers have had an experience similar to mine, it will likely be closed within the year. I decided to try out this new salon because it's location is near my home, it has a very nice and modern appearance and I had not heard anything about it... I went in for a color and cut. I had a very clear cut idea of what I wanted. I wanted all over color (switching from my natural shade of brown -never been dyed- to a much lighter shade with blond highlights) and a retro 60's bob type of cut - shorter in the back, longer in the front, but a bob. The stylist (and owner) told me that would not work and told me I would get only highlights instead. Trusting her judgment, I agreed. I did however impress on her that I wanted my hair to be GREATLY blond. She said not to worry, it would be. No. My hair is this crazy red with my original brown and some platinum blond streaks. It is SO ugly. The highlights she did put in are so low that it looks like I have at least a month's growth. I mentioned how much I disliked the way the color came out and that it was not as we discussed and she told me that is because I was unclear. I was told that I could come back in but she would have to charge me. She finished the color and then came the cut. What I wanted was not hard to understand. I have had similar from many salons and have never once had a problem like this horrendous cut. If I was a stylist, I would be SO ashamed to let anyone leave my salon looking the way I did. I cannot believe I left the salon looking like that. Even worse, I cannot believe I paid over $80 to look this bad. There was no styling at the salon and I left in a hurry with wet hair - I was not able to get a really good look at the cut until I got home. The stacked back is just hacked. There is no rhyme or reason to what she did. It cannot even be fixed without shaving the neck. The front is completely uneven. The right side is a good inch longer than the left. There was a large lock of hair on the right side of my head that was three inches longer than anywhere else. How she didn't notice it just boggles my mind. Everything is just so uneven. My four year old daughter could have done better. I honestly look like a clown. I thought about going back to make her fix this mess, but honestly I am afraid of what might happen. I would rather go spend another $100 than ever let that woman touch a hair on my head again. I wish I was able to post pictures : ( In addition to to the bad hair, I must also say that this was the most unprofessional business I have ever been in. The stylist's friends kept stopping by - swearing, drinking beer, screaming. It was just crazy. I hope this review may make someone think twice about going into 612 Salon.

I went in asking for a bob with bangs. The girl obviously didn't listen, because my hairs all one…read morelength all the way around. She gave me bangs but they are thin and wispy and she obviously didn't take enough hair from the crown to make them.....she also missed a bunch of pieces of hair that I later had to cut myself at home. My hair is really thick so because she cut it all one length (she didn't thin out the ends or blend them AT ALL) its super choppy and dense at the bottom. I wish she would have listened to how I wanted my hair to look instead of just randomly cutting it. I'm giving two stars because although my hair is not how I wanted it, it is not a horrible hair cut. To get the bob I want I'm going to have to wait toll it grows out and then get it. Overall really dissatisfied and will not be going back.
