We had a very disappointing first experience with Rising Stars Development League Youth Sports. My…read moreson's first soccer practice was scheduled for yesterday, and we were excited for him to get started. We showed up at the designated park at the scheduled time, only to find that no coaches, staff, or anyone from the organization was there. After waiting, we called the number provided and were told that the first practice had been postponed until the following week. We never received an email, text, phone call, or any other notification letting us know about the change. We made the trip and arranged our schedule based on the information they provided, so the lack of communication was extremely frustrating. What made the situation worse was how unprofessional and rude the person was over the phone when we called to find out what was going on. A simple apology and professional explanation would have gone a long way. When parents are trusting an organization with their children, communication, organization, and professionalism are extremely important. Unfortunately, our very first experience lacked all three. Based on how the first practice was handled and the way we were spoken to, we do not feel comfortable continuing with this program and will be looking for another soccer organization for our son.

I've been going for about a year and a half now and the improvement I've been able to make is mind blowing! I went from not having the strength to even hang on the trapeze bar with my hands for more than 5 seconds, to being able to pull my whole body weight above me in a pull over! Mrs. Paulina and the rest of the staff are so incredibly kind and encouraging. She always listens to what I want for myself and helps me make tangible goals out of them. I've seriously never felt stronger! Highly recommend the class for anyone looking for a fun way to build muscle and flexibility!

Selah Groove - Heartfelt and Affordable…read more My daughter has been attending Selah Groove for a year, and it's the only activity she's consistently loved. The studio may be small and a bit cluttered, but what it lacks in appearance, it makes up for with heart. Miss Lida, the owner and teacher, is incredibly caring and passionate, offering various classes like gymnastics, dance, tiny tots and princess classes. The prices are affordable, class sizes are small, and the value is unbeatable. Our charter school covers the gymnastics class, and unlike other studios, Selah Groove doesn't charge hundreds for performances. My daughter has performed at the Del Mar Fair and a local festival, with only a small costume rental fee. We're excited for her next show at Knott's Berry Farm! For a loving, personal, and budget-friendly studio where your child can thrive and grow, Selah Groove is perfect!

The Good & The Bad…read more Start with the Good: Some of the teachers are amazing. My son loves Ms. Kerry, he will ask for her on the weekends and we have to explain Ms. Kerry is at school. He talks about her on the drive to school, and can't wait to spend the day with her. She's made a comforting lasting impression on my son that I'm very grateful for. She's cares for him, fixed his "boo boos", taught him so much that words can't describe how grateful we are she's in his life, even if it is at school. He also adores Ms. Cheli, she runs a tight ship, but the children listen and follow her lead as you can see her experience is valid and spot on. The Bad: The classrooms can be too much. Especially the twos and early preschool. Teachers are stressed, over worked and Im sure crap Pay for the work they do. They deserve so much more. Many times I've walked in the building to managers and directors standing up in the office gossiping about teachers, other families. Especially teachers and other employees within the company. Not just once but several. They don't care. They don't get people can hear them when we are standing in the office. Or while I'm checking my child in the computer, the office door is open, and you have the two directors gossiping about their own employees and people can hear everything. Very unprofessional. Yet they know their teachers need help sometimes, but they would rather sit up there and gossip, and talk mad game instead of supporting the teachers and classrooms that look like a circus sometimes. Kuddos to the teachers hanging and holding on, your management is something else (not in a good way), we only stay for the specific teachers my son loves, but I know as he gets older he will not always have them.
